Charlotte Tilbury Look Of Love Collection

Charlotte Tilbury Look Of Love Collection Review & Swatches
I was kindly sent these products, without obligation.

I was surprised when I saw the new Charlotte Tilbury Look Of Love Collection*, as it seems as though Valentine's Day would be the ideal time to launch a collection like this, but actually, when I received the products and began using them, I could see that summer is a good time to launch it, as the look is minimal glam, which is probably what we're all aiming for this summer. The collection contains two Instant Look In A Palettes, four Look Of Love Lipsticks (which also have refills) and six shades of Tinted Loves, which are lip and cheek stains. I was kindly sent a selection to try and I want to share my thoughts, and some swatches, with you today.

I already have two versions of Instant Look In A Palette, but I'm delighted to see a slight change in this one, as it includes the face powder, rather than two blushes. This change really does make it a complete face in a palette.

On the top row, are three eyeshadows, the two largest pans are face powder and bronzer and then two smaller pans, with a blush and highlight. The eyeshadows contain a shimmer, a satin and a matte, all of which work well together to create a day or night look, but even just a sweep of one of the shadows, is enough to add some gentle, soft glam to the eyes. The texture in these palettes (and the limited edition 12 pan palettes), is of higher quality than the quads, in my opinion, as they are finely milled, easy to apply and buttery soft.

The bronzer, and powder really are brilliant additions and the blush and highlight are universally flattering.

Again, the texture is silky smooth, so they apply without any muddy patches. The packaging is secure and compact enough to take out in your handbag, for touch ups, or to take you from day to night.

The Tinted Loves can be used on both the lips and cheeks - perfect for easy makeup days (which all of mine are, at the moment). They have doe foot applicators, which obviously makes them easy to apply to the lips, but I also find a few dabs on the cheeks, can then be patted in, or a beauty sponge. can be used. They set to a stain on the cheeks, so don't be overwhelmed if you think you have applied too much initially. On the lips, they can be layered to achieve a bolder colour, however they will fade to a stain, which is ideal for under a mask, or if you are out for a meal and don't want to have to top your lip product up, as the overall look achieved with these products is a natural one.

Overall, I think this is a really pretty collection - perfect for summer, as the overall look is pretty light and natural, although you can smoke the eyes out with the matte brown (which I also like to wear alone for a minimal look). The lipsticks are refillable, so I think I'll have to pick at least one of those up as I love the formula of CT lipsticks.

Has this collection caught your eye? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
