Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Omega-Rich Cloud Cream Review

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Omega Rich Cloud Cream Review

When I first started blogging (and even before then), one of the most talked about products was Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. It was released in 2010 and is still one of the brand's best-selling products all these years later. It's popularity is due to the fact that it has been proven to improve the appearance of tired skim, particularly of those who have sleep problems of any sort (most people, I'm guessing?). 12 years later, we have a much longed for addition to the range in the form of the new Midnight Recovery Omega-Rich Cloud Cream.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Omega-Rich Cloud Cream Review

This cream has been a long time coming, as there is already the original oil, an eye cream and a cleansing oil in the line-up (all of which I love!). The original concentrate (which is a light oil), contains a range of botanical extracts, and these are combined with botanical oils, which are rich in Omegas 3 and 6, in the new cream, to help replenish the skin's lipid layer. The combination locks in moisture, makes the skin appear plump and rejuvenated. The texture of the cream is a dreamy as the name suggests, and a little goes a long way. What I especially love it (but may not suit those who are very sensitive to essential oils or fragrance), is the subtle lavender scent, which makes it the perfect evening product to help you unwind and relax before bed (although I do my skincare in the early evening, but it still helps, as I then either light a candle or use my Neom Wellbeing Essential Oil Diffuser, to ensure I have a relaxing few hours, before actually going to sleep.

Because it is an oil in water formula, it really has a very nourishing effect on the skin, and in the morning, skin feels supple, but also looks radiant and hides signs of fatigue (much needed after another bout of Covid, plus M.E. and Chronic Lyme - so it really is a bit of a miracle worker. The texture is a pleasure to massage into the skin, because it feels lightweight to touch, yet when being massaged in, it feels a little richer and skin instantly feels supple.

Due to the fact that skin does most of its repairing at night, using a product which helps to replenish and encourage cell renewal and barrier repair, will result in radiant, refreshed and plump skin in the morning. If oils are always your preference over creams, you could layer both products for a double whammy effect, but it isn't actually necessary with this cloud cream. Another winner from Kiehl's!
