What I loved in April.....

April loves 2022

I love April, because it's my husband's birthday, there is so much blossom and a real sense of hope and change in the air (if only that could extend to the war in Ukraine. I cannot believe that it's still going, without any real action being taken against Putin). I love seeing tulips everywhere, as well as all of the Spring flowers! The sun has been shining, although we only had maybe 2 days of actual heat where I live - other days, it was sunny but absolutely freezing and the winter coat came back out! I'm looking forward to some warmer days, and of course, our holiday next month! Anyway, enough about the weather, let's get into what I loved in April....

Shadow sticks for a quick and easy eye look....

Shadow sticks for a quick and easy eye look

I don't know if I'm just getting lazier with my makeup, have less energy, or just want to spend less time doing it, but at the moment I'm reaching for products that I know will help to make me look as though I've made an effort, even if I haven't! The products that fit the bill for my eyes are shadow sticks, and I have four brands that I want to share with you today. All will make my eyes look like I've made an effort, but in reality, take around a minute to complete. Once they are set, they're budge-proof - even on my oily lids!

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Omega-Rich Cloud Cream Review

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Omega Rich Cloud Cream Review
This was kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

When I first started blogging (and even before then), one of the most talked about products was Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. It was released in 2010 and is still one of the brand's best-selling products all these years later. It's popularity is due to the fact that it has been proven to improve the appearance of tired skim, particularly of those who have sleep problems of any sort (most people, I'm guessing?). 12 years later, we have a much longed for addition to the range in the form of the new Midnight Recovery Omega-Rich Cloud Cream.

I went old school beauty shopping......

Old school beauty shopping, Do I still love these beauty products almost a decade later?
Anything marked with a * was bought with a gift card, which was kindly provided by Look Fantastic.

I needed a few replacement products, so I decided to go old school and buy products that I absolutely loved when I first started blogging, to see if I still loved them, if they still worked for my skin, and if I had found similar, but better, products since I last used them! Let's get into it....

Budget/affordable/bougie: Acid Exfoliators

I'm going to start a new series on the blog, called Budget/affordable/bougie, and pick one particular product each time, giving you my opinion on whether you should splash the cash, or if a budget alternative is just as effective. We're starting today with one of my favourite products: Acid Exfoliators.

L'Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream VS Ultra Light Body Cream. Which is for you?
Both of these were kindly gifted to me, without obligation, but I have also purchased them myself.

Regular readers will know that L'Occitane is one of my favourite brands, not just in terms of skincare and fragrance, but also body care. products They can do no wrong in my eyes. I particularly love their body moisturisers (they have lotions, oils and creams available), as I have to moisturise my body daily because my skin is so dry, so I need products that will nourish and are long-lasting. Today, I want to talk you through the differences between L'Occitane Shea Body Creams to help you decide which one would suit you best.
