My flight essentials and anti-jetlag skincare heroes!

Verso Reviving Eye Mask, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, Omorovicza Magic Moisture Mist, Laneige Lip Mask, Omorovicza, Midnight Radiance, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, Dr Roebuck's Ultimate Hydrating Serum, L'occitane, Hand Cream

As you know, I was in New York last week and whilst we had a reasonably timed flight on the way over, we flew overnight on the way back and usually that would mean that my skin would suffer, however this time, a few really effective products prevented the signs of jet lag. Some I used during the flight and others afterwards and I want to share them with you today!

What I bought in New York!

I'm back! In case you didn't realise that I was away - I was in New York last week! It was our first visit but won't be our last because we loved every minute of our trip. I know that the first thing some people think of when you mention New York is shopping, but in all honesty we wanted to see and do as much as we could so we didn't spend a lot of time in the shops. On Wednesday there was a snow storm so we took that as a sign to indulge in some retail therapy in the morning as it was due to be a lot worse in the afternoon and we knew we'd need to be indoors then. Today, I want to show you the beauty bits that I bought - I didn't blitz Sephora as much as I did on my first visit to the U.S. two years ago because a lot of brands are more available to us on this side of the Atlantic than they were two years ago, but I did pick up some great bits!

Holiday makeup picks: the New York edition!

Visiting New York has been on my bucket list for years and it's finally happening! We are flying out tomorrow morning, so today I want to show you the makeup that I'm bringing with me. I'm trying not to bring too much as I'm bound to buy some makeup in Sephora when I'm over there, but this is about as minimal as I get! I also focused on bringing products that aren't too heavy because I need to keep room and weight in my case for shopping!

Rediscovering theBalm makeup

theBalm brand overview, theBalm Nude Beach Palette Review, theBalm Mary-Dew Manizer Review

When highlighters first became popular, the one that almost everyone owned and loved (myself included) was from theBalm: Mary-Lou Manizer. The beautifully soft texture and very reasonable price, given the quality, made it a huge hit! Recently, theBalm released a liquid version of their iconic highlighter: Mary-Dew Manizer, and I was kindly sent it so I want to share my thoughts on this and some other products from the brand today.

World Duty Free Exclusive: Lancome Absolue Precious Cells Power Of 3 Set

Lancome Absolue Precious Cells Power Of 3 Set Review

I don't know about you, but one of my favourite things about going on holiday, is shopping in Duty Free! I always squirrel away some money so I can have a splurge as there is great value to be had - whether it's stocking up on firm favourites or trying something new. I particularly like to buy products that are expensive on the high street as there is always a saving of at least 15% in World Duty Free. Today, I have the perfect example of the brilliant value there is available: this Lancome Absolue Precious Cells Power of 3 Set has a value of £440, but it can be purchased for £290. Yes, it's still expensive but if you use this line anyway, you can save £150! Don't forget that you don't have to be travelling yourself to avail of the amazing value because there is the reserve & collect option, whereby you can browse the site (select your terminal and date of travel first), then add products to your basket and then either you or whoever is travelling can pay and collect when they get to the airport and you will pay the price you reserved it at. I've used it a few times and found it really convenient!

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day is next Sunday, March 11th, in the UK & Ireland and even if you think it's just another Hallmark Day, any occasion to make your mother feel special is worth celebrating, in my opinion! Today I want to share some gift ideas for your mother or if you are a mother yourself, you might want to leave this post open to drop hints to your other half or children! I have a mixture of skincare, makeup and a few non-beauty items as I know not everyone is a beauty lover.
