Is it too late to wish you all a Happy New Year?! Yes, probably but I'm doing it anyway! Things have been quiet around these parts for a while because we had a busy December, a lovely Christmas and then the dreaded flu hit earlier this month plus gloomy days that don't make it easy to take photos, which both delayed my return to the blog. It may seem a little late to share 2025 favourites but I wanted to because I used some great products last year that I either already have, or will, repurchase this year. So, let's get into it! I have a mixture of skincare, makeup, bodycare, fragrance and tools and will include any discount codes that I can find in case you want to buy!
Skin Rocks The Cleansing Balm: I adore cleansing balms and have been using them daily for more years than I can remember and have tried so many but this one is a standout for so many reasons. The texture is sublime - it's a balm that is pliable and melts into an oil when massaged into the skin, yet it doesn't feel as cloying as some 'solid oil' cleansers do. It is an absolute pleasure to massage into the skin and is the perfect start to my skincare regime. It melts away all traces of makeup so easily and leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable. I highly recommend trying it next time you're in the market for a cleansing balm.
Curel Deep Moisture Spray: I used to spend a lot of money on moisture mists but since discovering this one early in the year, it's been a constant repurchase. I love the fine mist action, how replenishing and hydrating the product is and it's also really affordable. Use BEAUTYLYMIN to save 21% on Look Fantastic.
Oskia Super C Smart Nutrient Capsules: I absolutely love these capsules and was shocked at the difference they made to my skin in terms of brightness and glow. I have a tricky relationship with Vitamin C products as my skin is quite reactive but I have only positive things to report about these. Some Vitamin C products can oxidise if not used quickly, so the capsule format is very convenient to prevent this happening. The texture is quite oily but it doesn't pill and absorbs well into the skin. The capsules also contain Vitamin E, so they feel nourishing and my skin instantly glows after using them. Given the brand, they are quite pricey but my BEAUTYLYMIN discount code will save you 21% on Look Fantastic. If your skin is looking dull and uneven in tone, I highly recommend giving these a go.
Oskia Midnight Elixir: Another favourite from this brand and another pricey product but again my BEAUTYLYMIN code will save you 21%. There are so many reasons why I love this product! It can be used all over the face (including the eye area), and right down the neck and to the chest. Truth be told, I'd probably use it head to toe if I could afford it! So many of us use separate serums in these areas so I love that this is a one and done. I also love that it contains 50ml rather than the usual 30ml serum offerings and a little really does go a long way. It's packed with peptides, niacinamide, Vitamins C and D and resveratrol, amongst other powerful ingredients, which help to fight the signs of aging, skin dullness and laxity. With regular use, I noticed an improvement in skin elasticity, smoothness and plumpness. It's a product that, despite its price tag, I can't ever imagine myself being without.
Drowsy Sleep Mask: This may seem like a princess product but it has honestly made a huge difference to my sleep! I had my eye on it for a while and bit the bullet during the Black Friday sales and I'm so glad that I did. I have used eye masks in the past but none compare to this. It is adjustable and so comfortable on the skin and because it's silk, it's easy on the hair too. I don't like it to be overly tight, but snug and it not only blocks out all light, it also helps with sound too. I find that if I wake during the night, I get back to sleep a lot quicker when wearing this because it keeps me relaxed and I'm not inclined to even check what time it is, I just tend to drift off back to sleep. I stayed in three different hotels in December and usually, I don't sleep so well when not in my own bed with my own pillow etc but I had really great quality sleep, thanks to this mask. I slept so much and so well that my husband asked me to order one for him and he has found it to work great too! I would imagine it would be ideal on a long haul flight!
Make Up For Ever Pro Lip Pencil in shade Wherever Walnut: I absolutely love everything about this lip pencil - the texture, the shade (pinky nude), the longevity and how it isn't drying on the lips. I will definitely be buying another more browny nude shade soon.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Contour Duo: Another lip liner love. Having two shades on one pencil is brilliant because you really can contour the lips with it. I'm not huge into overlining my lips but I do like to add definition and ensure that they have shape as I find it makes whatever lip product I follow with, look better.
Patrick Ta Major Skin Hydra-Luxe Luminous Skin Perfecting Foundation: This could be my new favourite foundation! I absolutely love how it makes my skin look juicy and luminous (without looking sweaty). It gives solid medium coverage and doesn't settle into fine lines or emphasise pores or texture. It's an all round winner in my eyes!
Armani Vertigo Lift Mascara: I needed a new mascara and thought I'd give this a whirl because I've enjoyed Armani mascaras in the past. I love the formula - it's not too wet, which is important with my combination of watery eyes and oily lids, but isn't too dry either so it doesn't flake. I love that this mascara adds volume, without clumps, but also gives brilliant definition and really holds a curl. It doesn't flake or smudge and is also easy to remove. Use the code BEAUTYLYMIN to save 21% on Look Fantastic.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner: I absolutely love these liners and use the shade Cocoa every time I do my makeup. The formula is excellent - soft enough to smudge but once it dries, it won't budge. I love to tightline but also use on my upper lash liner instead of liquid liner for a softer look that still adds definition.
CND RescueRxx Daily Keratin Treatment: My nails are usually very strong but I noticed a few months ago that they were peeling and snapping. I don't get gel nails/BIAB/acrylic etc so I like to maintain my nails at home. I bought this and have used it nightly ever since and my nails are so much stronger now with very little peeling (if any). Like any product, consistency is key to achieve results.
Strivectin Crepe Control Brightening & Firming Hand Cream: I use hand cream so regularly throughout the day because my skin is super dry and I wash my hands so often. I have used so many brands over the years but this is, without doubt, the best that I have tried. It not only nourishes but also improves the appearance of fine lines, texture and laxity of the skin. I love to stock up when it's on offer in Boots.
Kérastase 8H Magic Night Serum: This serum really is unlike many others. It's applied to dry hair at night but doesn't make it greasy at all. It just absorbs into the hair and gets to work at nourishing and repairing. I have noticed a big difference in my hair since I started to use this nightly, with fewer split ends, more strength and less damage even though I use heat (though only twice weekly) and have my hair coloured regularly. Use the code BEAUTYLYMIN to save 21% on Look Fantastic.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum: I adore this fragrance - it combines so many notes that I love and has a sparkling scent. It's citrusy, woody, sweet and feminine with notes of orange, bergamot, rose, jasmine, vanilla and musk among many others. It lasts so well on the skin and I can still smell it on coats days after spraying. Pricey but a treat!
Escentric Molecules Molecule 01: In contrast to the previous perfume, this one leans quite masculine on me but I adore it and get so many compliments when I wear it. It's a unisex fragrance, based around a single note, which means it should smell slightly different on everyone. On me, it smells quite woody and musky and the longevity is excellent.
Parfums De Marly Delina: In complete contrast to the previous fragrance (again!), this is a sweet, feminine fragrance. It's one that will garner compliments from strangers every time I wear it out and about. Not that that's overly important, but it's such a special fragrance that people can't help but comment on it. It's fruity and floral, sweet but not overly so and not at all cloying or sickly. Just smell it if you get a chance!
CurrentBody LED Mask Series 2*: I absolutely love this mask and am so happy with the positive effects it has had on my skin. I use it five times weekly and with this consistency have noticed improvements in terms of elasticity, tone, reduction in inflammation, and general plumpness of my skin. It has also helped with pigmentation, with results shown in this post. I love that this model moulds to the face and even works under the chin, with results achieved in just 10 minutes, which is easy to fit into my routine. LYMINCB will save you 10% on this mask and other products from the brand.
CurrentBody LED Hair Growth Helmet*: Another brilliant device from this brand is this hair helmet, which encourages hair growth. I have noticed a big improvement in hair density overall and have so many baby hairs sprouting that I almost have bangs! (See here) It only takes 10 minutes a day and I can move around while using it as it is secure on the head. I am looking forward to seeing further results and will share updates every few months as I continue to use. Again, LYMINCB will save you 10% on this device.
ZIIP Halo*: Finally, another device! (I love a device as long as it's effective). This tool is excellent for reducing puffiness/fluid retention, sculpting the contours of the face and encouraging collagen production. The app is so useful with programmes ranging from 4 minutes to 10, depending on the results you want and how much time you have. It contains both micro and nano currents, which give results both short and long term. For a refined and lifted look, you can't go wrong with this device!
I would love to hear some of your standout products from last year?
