After the success of their previous influencer collaboration, MAC have teamed up with two new beauty youtubers to release two new limited edition lipsticks. They go on sale today and are exclusive to Selfridges, MAC Freestanding Stores and online. The two youtubers involved are Jamie Genevieve and Patricia Bright. These lipsticks are bound to sell like hot cakes so if you like the look of either (or both), you need to act fast! Read on for my thoughts on the lipsticks and swatches.

If you follow Jamie Genevieve, then you know her lipstick was never going to be anything other than nude as that lady is the queen of the nude lip! Jamie chose a satin finish lipstick, which I think is the best finish for a nude lipstick as it is comfortable and won't exaggerate and dry patches or lines in the lips. The shade is a true nude - as you can see from the swatch above, it barely shows against my skin but I found that if I fill my lips in with Spice lip pencil and apply this lipstick over it, it works well. I find I get around 4 hours before I need to re-apply but as it's a nude, it can be done quickly and easily. I think all skin tones could make this work by wearing alone or layering over a liner like I do. It's a beautiful lipstick so well done, Jamie! Shop Jamie's lipstick here.
Patricia Bright chose a matte finish for her '90s brown shade, which is extremely pigmented - one swipe and you're good to go. Although brown shades can be scary for some, I think this will be universally flattering. If you think a brown matte might not suit you, just layer a gloss over it - clear to relieve the matte finish or a coloured gloss to change the colour to suit your skin tone and taste. As this is a matte finish, I find it lasts longer than the satin and at around the 6 hour mark, I need to reapply. Shop Patricia's lipstick here.
Both lipsticks go on sale this morning so act fast if you want to get your hands on them as they are bound to sell out! I'd love to hear your thoughts on them? Will you be buying?
