Bon Voyage Discovery Box

Bon Voyage Discovery Box, Beauty Boat Review

Have you entered my Pat McGrath giveaway here?

I know that there's a green list of countries that are supposed to be safe to travel to, but I personally wouldn't risk flying anywhere until at least next year because as much as the lure of some heat in my bones tempts me, I'm still very ill and wouldn't take a chance of being on a flight or in a hotel, or general vicinity, of any Covidiots. Apart from missing lying by a pool, one of the things I really enjoy about going on holiday, is Duty Free shopping! In fact, I usually time my purchase of some of my favourite serums around holidays and flying to see my husband's family. Because that's not possible this year (for so many of us), I was delighted to hear about Beauty Boat*. This is a new, virtual pop-up shop, which has been launched to fill the void for those of us who aren't travelling abroad and therefore, not travelling through Duty Free, this year. It offers up to 30% off best-selling luxury brands and to celebrate, it has launched a Bon Voyage Discovery Box.

I won't lie - the lid of the box makes me want to book a city break as the design is Europe, with some cities highlighted and it's so colourful that it screams summer! Inside the box are nine travel sized products. They are:

Alpha-H Balancing Cleanser Rose (30ml): I reviewed this cleanser here so I'm delighted to have this mini for the next time that I travel.

Balance Me Vitamin C Repair Serum (7ml): A vitamin C serum is a great product to include because it brightens skin and evens skin tone and 7ml is definitely enough for a 2 week holiday, it used daily and I'd recommend finishing when you get home as it's best to use consistently or it will oxidise.

Sand & Sky Mini Exfoliator (10g): This is a brand that is new to me so I was very excited to see two products in the box as I've wanted to try this cruelty-free brand for a while. For holidays, I tend to use physical, rather than a chemical exfoliator, so again, this is a product I'll keep for my next holiday - in fact, I think I'll keep all of the products because they cover a whole routine and are brilliant sizes.

Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Mask (13g): A deep cleansing mask that will refine pores and detox the skin in only 10 minutes.

Isle of Paradise Tanning Water (60ml): This can be used on both the face and body, so it's particularly useful to rake away to top up your tan or fix any strap marks!

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara (4ml): I've used this mascara before and it's great for holding a curl - ideal if you have straight lashes that find some mascaras weigh your lashes down.

INC.redible Roller Baby The Original Rollerball Gloss (7ml):  Rollerball lip gloss are a real throwback product for me and I like them, but then again, I've always been a fan of lip glosses.

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream (7.5ml): This is a brilliant multi-purpose product - it heals, repairs and nourishes the skin. It can also be used on cuticles, elbows, to tame frizzy hair, as a lip balm and so much more. This is a product that I think all houses need a pot of this because it treats so many issues.

Patchology Flashpatch Rejuvenating Eye Gel (one pair): Perfect to use on a flight, or the morning after a late night because they help to reduce puffiness but they also deliver hydration.

This set has a retail value of £69 and is usually priced at £45 but is currently on offer for £25!

It has everything in it that you could need for a mini-break, especially when travelling with hand-luggage only, which I always struggle with when packing! It's also a brilliant way to try lots of brands without spending very much money.

Are you missing travelling (and Duty Free) this year? Check out Beauty Boat* to get your fix!
