L'Occitane Verbena Collection - happy, summer vibes!

L'Occitane Verbena Collection 2020 review
All.of these products were gifted to me without obligation.

Every year, I look forward to the L'Occitane Verbena Summer Collection - I love the original but in summer, they add products with a twist. I was lucky enough to be sent a selection of some of the products but I know I'll buy some more because even if the weather doesn't agree, it is actually summer and this collection makes me believe that it is! Plus the scents remind me of my childhood in my Granda's garden as he grew mint, lemon balm and lemon verbena. I should show some photographs of his garden on here sometime as he was a landscaper by trade and from above his front lawn was a horseshoe shape with a Chinese gate at the bottom, with ponds, water features and a fairyland. It was a good few acres but the front lawn was my favourite as it had so many types of rose, full of fragrance.

Verbena Invigorating Shower Gel:  If you want to put a pep in your step and get your day off to a good start, this is the perfect shower gel for you! It combines mint and citrusy verbena to really awaken the senses and while it does lather, it doesn't strip the skin. A quick shower using this and even if you've only had a few hours sleep, you'll feel more awake and ready to take the day on. Fresh and invigorating is the only way to describe this scent! A little goes a long way and there's 250ml in the bottle. I think this would make a gorgeous gift for anyone who has been ill or just through the mill, because it can't help but cheer you up! Price in euros: 18.50. Price in £16.50.

Citrus Verbena Delicious Fresh Scrub:  Again, this has a very fresh, invigorating scent, which always makes me feel more alert. It's the perfect balance between a gentle scrub, which won't tear your skin, yet it is also 'scrubby' enough to exfoliate the skin, leaving it smooth and silky. It won't remove all fake tan so it's one that you can use during the week to keep tan looking fresh and even if you don't use fake tan, it will leave skin looking polished and radiant. Price is euros:24.00. Price in £:22.

Citrus Verbena Frappé Body Cream: Another product that I think would make a gorgeous gift because who doesn't love a luxury body cream as I think that most of us use budget body products on a daily basis. Also, layering products of the same fragrance, means that the scent will last longer. When I received this, I used all of the products and my husband instantly told me that I was smelling like summer and so fresh! He said every time he came into the room that I was in, he could smell it instantly, all day! This cream has a beautiful light, but creamy texture. It melts into the skin with little effort and the scent is so zesty and invigorating! A limited edition, beautiful product that feels cooling on the skin. Price is euros:29Price in £:26.

Limited Edition Design Verbena Hand Cream Gel: Regular readers will know how much I love hand creams from this brand but this one is slightly different as it has a gel texture, so it's ideal for summer as it gives the hands a cooling feel - perfect for sweaty hands. Like the other products, it smells fresh and invigorating and this size is perfect for your handbag. Hand creams are essential at the moment with all of the hand washing we are doing, and which we will continue to do as it's the only way we can beat the virus. Price is euros:10.50. Price in £:8.

Limited Edition Verbena Eau De Toilette: A stunning combination of lemon, orange verbena, petit grain, rose and geranium make for this unique, summer scent. It's a really uplifting, invigorating scent that isn't too sharp. It's the perfect final step to use after the bath & body products and once I spray this, it's summer as far as I'm concerned Price is euros: 52 . Price in £:49.

There are lots of other limited edition products in the summer collection and if sparkling, refreshing, invigorating scents that make you feel you are in Provence, then you need to try something from the collection. The limited edition products have illustrations on the packaging, which was designed by Ayumi Takahashi, who used the invigorating scents as inspiration for what is inside.

I have my eye on a few more products from the range that I am going to treat myself to because as many of you know if you read my recent post, I've been very ill with Covid and it's after-effects and complications (Day 165 right now) and these products make me feel a little better - anything that can keep my spirits up, is worth spending some money on!

Has anything in this line caught your eye? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
