Living Proof Haircare favourites

 

Living Proof is one of those brands that we couldn't get this side of the Atlantic for years, and most of us lusted after it because Jennifer Aniston was their spokesperson and I've yet to see her have a bad hair day! It arrived on our shores a few years ago, and although I haven't tried a lot of their products, I love everything I have tried. I'm aware that I've shared a lot of haircare products on the blog over the past few months, but after losing hair to Covid last year, I have been determined to take care of my hair and now that it's in good condition (post here: http://www.beautylymin.com/2021/05/taking-care-of-my-balayaged-hair.html), I want to share some of the products that I use to style it and Living Proof features heavily.

Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo: This is certainly not the cheapest dry shampoo on the market, nor is it the most expensive, but what I find with dry shampoos is that some create more build up than others, which can lead to scalp irritation. This is a brilliant product because it really does refresh the hair, soak up oils and it also doesn't leave a white cast. Perfect for gym goers, those who sweat a lot when ill and also anyone who just doesn't have time to wash their hair as often as they'd like. Perfect Hair Day Triple Detox Shampoo: I think that I first received this in last year's Cult Beauty Advent Calendar. - you can join the waitlist for the 2021 calendar here. This shampoo is amazing for when you have a buildup of product in your hair, and it needs a deep clean, but you don't want to risk stripping your colour or leaving your hair feel stripped of moisture. It's also brilliant if you live in a hard water area, as it will remove mineral build up. I tend to leave it in my hair for a few minutes before rinsing, to ensure that all grime and build up has been removed, and it leaves my hair so soft and glossy. No Frizz Instant De-Frizzer: My friend Andra spoke about this on her YouTube channel as one of her favourite products, so I had to buy it! I have naturally frizzy hair, so anything that will help to tame it has to be tried! This contains a blend of five oils, which tame the hair, so I recommend holding it at a distance and gently misting over the hair, paying more attention to the ends. It leaves hair looking so glossy, instantly de-frizzed (as the name suggests), but not heavy. Plus a little goes a long way, which is a bonus. It also provides UV protection.

Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate: When my friend Laura from Laura Lou Beauty showed how  sleek her hair was from using this on her Instagram, I immediately ordered it. I sometimes wear waves in my hair and other times, I like it to be sleek and smooth, and this is the perfect product to use for the latter. It offers heat protection and nourishing emollients, but it doesn't weigh the hair down. It seals the hair cuticles to ensure that the hair is perfectly smooth - perfect if you have any split ends. Restore Repair Mask: I first received this in an Advent Calendar in 2019 and was blown away by the results. I'm glad that the packaging has been changed from a tub to a tube. This mask doesn't just repair the hair, it also strengthens it and helps to seal split ends, for an overall sleek, glossy and smooth look. It leaves the hair feeling so soft, elasticized and bouncy, and it gets better each time you use it. I use a lot of different hair masks and this is definitely in my top five.
