My first Dior purchase: Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer

Dior is a brand that I have never bought anything from for some reason. I'm not quite sure why because I have lusted after their bases a few times but just got distracted by another product. I would love to try their Star foundation and am also very intrigued by their Airflash foundation, but I don't need another foundation at the moment so I chose a concealer. I've moaned enough about how dry the skin around my eyes has been for the past few weeks and although I love the Urban Decay Naked concealer, it wasn't sitting right under my eyes.

April Favourites featuring Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass, Jo Malone & more!

This month's favourites features mainly make-up products because my skin has been really playing up so I couldn't choose more than one skincare item. This past month has been all about Charlotte Tilbury & Hourglass for me and my first favourite is a recent purchase but I am already completely hooked. It is Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. This product is simply amazing. It adds warmth and contour and the highlight really does make my skin glow. I am addicted to using this and am so glad that I finally bought it! Also from Charlotte Tilbury, I have been using the Golden Goddess Quad a lot this month. I just love these shadows, worn together or alone. This quad really suits my green eyes so I would highly recommend it other green eyed ladies!

My dehydrated skin has been really loving Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum. It is now my Holy Grail Primer - nothing else I have ever used before has come close to this. My foundation looks fresher when I use this and my skin feels so comfortable when I use this. If I could afford to, I would use it as my daily serum as well as my primer! I would highly recommend it to anybody with dry or dehydrated skin. Another Hourglass product that I have been wearing non-stop is the Ambient Blush Palette. The combination of this palette and Bronze and Glow has my skin looking a lot healthier than it actually is!

Empties & speedy reviews #11 featuring This Works, Dermalogica, Origins, Vita Liberata, GLAMGLOW & more!

I've finished quite a few products in the last few weeks so it's empties time again with some speedy reviews thrown in!

Skincare:

I finished quite a few skincare products in the last few weeks including my beloved Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, which I will definitely be repurchasing because although it's expensive, it is a must-have for me. It keeps my skin hydrated and repairs damage, whilst also helping to reduce sensitivity and heal spots whenever they appear. This is a holy grail product for me.

I finished 3 face masks this month: GLAMGLOW Powermud (reviewed here), Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque and Dermalogica Skin Refining Masque. I really enjoyed using the Powermud mask but I probably won't repurchase at the moment because I have quite a few masks to use up, but also because I really want to try the new Charlotte Tilbury Clay Goddess mask. Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque has been a staple for years and I will repurchase at some point because it is one I can depend on to brighten, hydrate and repair my skin, but I won't repurchase the Refining Mask because I prefer other masks that I own over it.

Recent purchases #19 featuring GLAMGLOW, L'Occitane, Kat Von D, By Terry & more!

I've finished up a good number of products lately so needed to stock up again & also wanted to try some products that I have had my eye on for a while so this has culminated in a haul that I want to share with you today. I didn't buy all of these at once, but over the last few weeks but have kept them all unopened so I could put them all in one post!

First up is a repurchase, it's GLAMGLOW Youthmud mask. I finished a pot recently & even in the short few weeks I was without it, I could see a change in my skin's texture and it also looked more congested so I knew that I had to repurchase this. As soon as I finish this post, I will be applying this mask because my skin has been crying out for it.

My Charlotte Tilbury wishlist!

Ever since the range was launched, I have pretty much wanted Charlotte Tilbury everything! I am lucky to have a small number of items in my collection but my wishlist doesn't get any shorter because she keeps releasing new products! I love everything that I own from the brand: Dolce Vita  & Golden Goddess palettes, Lip Cheat liner in Pillow Talk & Iconic Nude, Filmstar Bronze & Glow, Matte Revolution lipstick in Lost Cherry, Fallen from the Lipstick Tree KISSING lipstick in Velvet Underground and Light Wonder foundation. I love the packaging of all of the products and the quality. You can read my reviews of these products by clicking on any of the links above. Today I am sharing the products that are on my current wishlist.

REVIEW: Nuxe 24Hr Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask - perfect for dehydrated skin!

My skin has been really playing up for the last 2/3 weeks. It is so, so dehydrated that I feel that I look like I have aged 10 years in a few weeks! My main areas of concern are my eyes and forehead and none of my usual hydrating treatments are working how I want them too. I think I may have a touch of hayfever too, which meant I was rubbing my eyes without even noticing I was doing it & that didn't help matters. I didn't really know what to try next and when I was looking through some of my beauty boxes for inspiration, I found this Nuxe mask, which sounded like it was exactly what I needed : soothing and rehydrating. When I read that it was also suitable for the eye contour area, I was excited to try it because I find that pads specifically for the eye are tend to be very expensive and wanted a cheaper solution.

REVIEW: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow has been on my wishlist since its release and last week I finally got my hands on it! I have only heard amazing things about this product, but the price tag of £49/€65 is the reason I haven't tried it before now. I already have a whole wardrobe of bronzers and highlighting products so it took a while before I could justify the splurge, but it was worth the wait!

Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion Hydrating Body Lotion

I have never tried any Victoria's Secret fragrances or body products before and when I was going through The Loop in Dublin Airport, I decided to pop into the shop for a browse and choose one of the products. I decided to buy the Coconut Passion Hydrating Body Lotion because I hoped that it might be a good body product to wear with my Bronze Goddess fragrance because it is vanilla & coconut scented. It is not the perfect accompaniment for the perfume because I actually can't smell the coconut at all, it is really only the vanilla that I can smell!

A shampoo recommendation for weak/dry/damaged hair! Kerastase Bain Force Architecte

Last week I blogged about a product that I consider a must-have for dry/damaged hair: Kerastase Ciment Thermique and when I was washing my hair at the weekend, I realised that I was using all Kerastase products from the Resistance range. This range is designed to reconstruct weak, damaged hair and to reduce breakage. The shampoo from the range is Bain Force Architecte and it comes in two different types, depending on the level of damage to your hair - 1-2 or 3-4. I have just finished a bottle of level 1-2 and have now moved on to 3-4.

Summer in a bottle! Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess

Every year Estée Lauder bring out a range of Bronze Goddess products and last year was the first time I bought the fragrance because in previous years it sold out before I got the chance to get my hands on it! Not wanting to let that happen again this year, I bought it last week in The Loop Duty Free, where it was selling for around €10 less than on the high street.

REVIEW: Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-on Cream Makeup

I'm going old school today & talking about a foundation that was really popular about 10 years ago! It is Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-on Cream Make-up. I used to wear this a lot when I was younger and I recently bought one again kind of out of curiosity and also because I thought the compact would be handy for travelling with only hand luggage. For €33 you get 23g of product so it's not the cheapest foundation, but not too extravagant either. I also noticed on the back of the compact that it is suitable for use for 36 months after opening, which I found very strange because most foundations would only be fresh for 12 months. Maybe this is because it is a cream product, rather than a liquid. The packaging has improved significantly since I last bought it & looks quite glam compared to the old black packaging!

The Just One Tag!

I read this tag on Becoming Becca blog and thought it would be a challenge to just choose one product from each category to keep so thought I would give it a go today! It wasn't easy, but here goes!

REVIEW: Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Palette

If you have read my blog for any amount of time, you will know that I am a palette addict! When I bought the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette a couple of months ago, I loved it so much that it went straight into my Top Three Palettes of all time! Naturally, this made me want to try another palette from Too Faced so when my best friend was visiting NYC last month, I asked her to pick up the Semi Sweet Palette for me.

A must have product for damaged hair: Kerastase Ciment Thermique Resurfacing Reinforcing Milk

I am a big Kerastase fan, with the Resistance range being my particular favourite. This range is aimed at repairing and strengthening weak hair, which has been damaged by heat, bleach, hair dye etc. I have used products from this range for years because I dye my hair and use heat on it leaving is dry and porous, but also because I have a chronic illness, which in itself has damaged my hair (and skin), but also the medications that I take for months at a time really wreak havoc. I have tried other brands, but find that the products in the Resistance range are the most effective I have tried in terms of strengthening my hair.

Mini Duty Free Haul!

I'm just back from a weekend away visiting my Hubby's family in the UK combined with his birthday treat of a trip to Spurs (boo for the result of the game!). This meant that I inevitably had to hit up Duty Free, but we were limited due to only having hand luggage which means I couldn't buy many liquids due to the 100ml rule. I think The Loop in Dublin airport has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years with so many new brands & the discounts are great. With the euro being so weak against the pound, it is definitely cheaper to buy here than on your return where possible.

GLAMGLOW Thirstycleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser - my initial thoughts

If you saw my recent haul, you will have read that one of the products I was most excited to try was the GLAMGLOW Thirstycleanse Daily Cleanser because I am already a huge fan of the ThirtyMud Mask. Although the GLAMGLOW masks are more expensive than all of the other masks I own, I think that the price tag is justified due to how effective they are. I have been using this for almost a week now, twice daily & want to share my initial thoughts with you.

REVIEW: Hourglass N° 28 Primer Serum

I am a sucker for anything that will either add hydration to my skin, or at least make it appear more hydrated so when I heard about Hourglass N° 28 Primer Serum, which is a primer and serum in one, I knew I had to try it. This is an expensive product so I took a chance asking my best friend to get it for me in the U.S. because I had never even tested it on my hand in a store. It is $65 for 1 oz/30 ml so it is probably the most expensive primer I have ever used. I was torn between this and the Mineral Veil Primer from the same brand, which a lot of people swear by but because this is aimed at hydration more than anything else, I decided to go for it because that is my main concern.

REVIEW: Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer

In my recent haul, I showed you Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer, which I bought primarily because it claims to reduce blow drying time. I have long hair & lots of it so anything that will help reduce the time it takes to blow dry it is always worth trying, in my opinion! Coupled with that, this is also a heat protectant and also helps to prevent breakage - I was sold! I tried the Percy & Reed hair primer last year & didn't notice a difference, but that was a cream product & this is a spray so it suits me better.

Purederm Exfoliating Foot Mask - a cheap & cheerful option?

Last summer when I was in Penneys/Primark, I picked up one of these Purederm exfoliating foot masks at the till that I had heard so many people talk about. It was only about €3 so I figured I had nothing to lose but I didn't use it at the time because I read that this makes the skin on your feet peel for about 2 weeks and at that stage I was wearing flip flops and sandals all the time and there was no way I was going to have gross feet in summer. I left it on my shelf and because the weather is now starting to pick up a little, it reminded me that I should use it before I have my toes out on a daily basis.

Recent purchases #18 featuring Too Faced, Hourglass, GLAMGLOW, Kerastase & more!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter & enjoyed the bank holiday weekend?! Wasn't the weather just fabulous? There's nothing like a bit of sun & blue skies to put a spring in the step!

So I've been doing a little shopping again & I am really excited about some of these products because I have been lusting after them for a while! My best friend was on holiday in New York, so she picked up the three products that I am most excited about because they aren't available here as far as I am aware. I had a long list, that I narrowed down because these three were quite expensive with the exchange rate.

REVIEW: Indeed Labs Retinol Reface

I am always on the lookout for products that will make my skin look brighter, even and radiant and I have heard so many positive things about retinol helping to achieve all of those things, so I decided to purchase Indeed Labs Retinol Reface. I have had mixed experiences with previous Indeed Labs products - I loved the Hydraluron serum but didn't find the Hydraluron jelly to be very effective, so I didn't have any pre-judgements for this product.

Empties & speedy reviews #10 featuring GLAMGLOW, Elemis, Xen Tan, Label M, Estee lauder & more!

It doesn't seem like very long since my last empties post but I have accumulated quite a number of empties and so many of them are favourites - boo hoo! I am now getting to the stage where most of the products I own, are ones that I love. I used to have shelves of items that I just didn't use or like but I have either used them, binned them or found a good home for them. It's nice to have a collection of mostly loved products, but gutting when they are finished. Anyway, on with today's post!

Starting with face products, I have finished yet another Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm. I am addicted to this & am now on to my 7th tub, so I am very loyal to it. It just seems to really suit my dry/sensitive skin. I have already repurchased this.

My new favourite concealer: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Light Warm

I have been a huge fan of the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer since it was first released but when I heard about the latest Urban Decay concealer, I knew I would have to try it. I chose to buy it in the shade Light Warm and it is perfect for brightening, but the wrong shade for actual concealing for me. It is actually very, very similar in colour to MAC Prep & Prime in Light Boost.
