Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk is my favourite lip liner - it is very close to my natural lip colour so I wear it with a wide variety of lipsticks but I have always wished it came in lipstick form, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that a Pillow Talk lipstick was being released! I ordered it as soon as it was released and whilst doing that, I added Valentine, which is another new & limited edition lipstick, to my basket. I am a sucker for a pinky nude lipstick and both of these are right up my street. Instead of just showing you swatches of the new lipsticks, I thought that I would show you the other Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks in my collection so that you can see the swatches and decide if you "need" any of them!
Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks come in two finishes: Matte Revolution and K.I.S.S.I.N.G. - the latter being the creamier of the two but the matte version isn't at all drying on the lips. Both give the illusion of fuller lips and are very pigmented and comfortable to wear. I find the wear time to be 3/4 hours on both - slightly longer on the mattes. They all have the same, beautiful rose gold, ribbed packaging and all are priced at £23 or €30.
The swatches are in the following order:
Liv It Up: Part of the HOT LIPS range, this lipstick was inspired by Liv Tyler - a beautiful warm, pink from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range.
Kim K.W.: Inspired by the one and only Kim Kardashian-West, this lipstick is also from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. range - a warm pinky-beige. It leans more pink than brown and is my ideal every day lip colour. Don't be put off if you don't have Kim K's skin tone because neither do I and I can still wear it!
Between The Sheets: This was one of the limited edition releases from Valentine's Day 2016 and it is a soft, rose pink in the matte formula. This looks perfect both with a smokey eye or with minimal daytime makeup.
Kiss Chase: This was the other limited edition release last February and is a raspberry pink from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. range - another very wearable colour, suitable for both day and night.
Secret Salma: This is another of the HOT LIPS range, and is inspired by Salma Hayek. It is similar to Kiss Chase but a little deeper in colour with a hint of mauve, and is a matte formula.
The Queen: This was a limited edition release last Autumn, created in homage to HRH Queen Elizabeth II. It is a deep crimson/pink and a matte formula.
Lost Cherry: This was one of the first Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks that I purchased and is a coral/fuschia hybrid with a hint of red, in a matte formula. It looks particularly pretty in summer when I have some colour in my cheeks.
Pillow Talk: The perfect matte, pinky nude lipstick - it gets the balance of pink/beige/brown just right and I already know that this will be one of my most worn lipsticks for the foreseeable future.
Valentine: A soft, rose pink with the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. formula - very similar to Liv It Up so if you already own that, then you probably don't need this but I just couldn't resist a limited edition release!
As you can see, a lot of the shades that I have are quite similar but I like to think that they are different enough to justify owning all of them! If you are interested in buying Pillow Talk or Valentine, then I recommend snapping them up a.s.a.p. because they are both limited edition.
Are you a fan of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks? Are there any shades that you think I *need* to add to my collection? Will you be purchasing either of the new releases? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
