Honest reviews, regular hauls and all things beauty.

August favourites featuring Urban Decay, Dior, Kevyn Aucoin & more!

I just cannot believe that August is over and Autumn is on the way. It still feels like we didn't really have a summer and now it's time to embrace warmer clothes and deeper colours. Before we do that, I want to talk about my August favourites, they are mainly new products because I received so many new products for my birthday this month and I have been really loving using them.

Recent purchases #24 featuring Clinique, Laura Mercier, BECCA, Oskia & more!

My birthday money & vouchers were burning a bit of a hole in my pocket so I had to buy a few things to tick off my wishlist & thought I would share the beauty purchases with you today. One of the great things about birthdays is that you receive emails with discount codes from sites that you have shopped on throughout the year so it is the perfect time to whittle down the wishlist! As you read his, I will be on a plane to Greece for a week in the sun and have packed some of these beauties so will let you know what I think of them soon!

My Ultimate 2015 Wishlist revisited and extended!

In January I posted my Ultimate 2015 Wishlist and today I thought I would revisit it to see what I've bought and of course, there are more products that I want so I will extend it! I can't be the only person who adds two products when they remove one?!

My top five highlighters

Contouring is so passé and strobing is the new thing - well, according to people in the know anyway! I have always been a fan of highlighting whether it was the in thing or not and have been doing it for years because I just like the effect on my complexion. Today I am sharing my current top five highlighters - I say 'current' because I've just bought the BECCA/Jaclyn Hill collaborative beauty that is Champagne Pop and that will undoubtedly make its way into my top five once I start using it! All of the highlighters that I will mention lean towards the golden/champagne end of the spectrum because silvery/pinky tones are not really my thing.

Speedy reviews #3 Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray & Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream

So it's speedy reviews time again. If you didn't see the previous instalments, these posts will feature products that don't really warrant full review posts on their own so each one will feature at least two items that I have been using for a while and want to share my thoughts on. Today I am sharing my thoughts on Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream and Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine Spray.

Holiday prep purchases....

I am going to Greece next week and I cannot wait for some sun because it really helps with my bone pain (fellow Lymies will understand that) and I'm looking forward to a week with my husband without any distractions! Today, I thought I would share with you some of my pre-holiday purchases. I will be taking as many sample sizes as I can, but there were some products that I just  had to buy. I will decant some of these products into smaller travel size bottles because usually my toiletries weight far more than they should!

Review: Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of the latest addition to the Marc Jacobs Daisy range: Daisy Dream Forever for my birthday last week and I thought I'd share my thoughts on it with you today.

Products deserving of more hype #1

I think we can all be found guilty of giving in to blogger hype at times - sometimes with success, but at other times I wonder WHY so many people are raving about a product (Clarisonic and Embryolisse spring to mind). I sometimes wonder if the opinion would be different if a product was paid for, rather than given and find that I tend to unfollow blogs if I find that they only write about pr samples. Then there are times when I find a product that I love and wonder why it hasn't been hyped up or featured on many blogs. Is it because the company behind the product doesn't send out a lot of pr samples? I think that beauty bloggers should feature more than just pr samples on their blogs - afterall, if beauty is really a passion, surely they like shopping for beauty products or finding hidden gems? Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on bloggers who receive pr samples, but I just feel that a well rounded, non-biased beauty blog should feature more than just freebies. So today, I thought I would share some products that I have in my collection that I think are deserving of more hype and I would love if you would share what products you think deserve more hype in the comments below.

Birthday pressies & recent purchases!

So it was my birthday last Saturday and I really had a lovely weekend celebrating with my gorgeous Hubby & family. I received some really beautiful pressies & thought I would show you the beauty related pressies today and also some products I bought with birthday money. I was thoroughly spoilt & I am really excited about using all of these products! Everybody knows I am beauty crazy so a lot of pressies were based around that!

Empties & speedy reviews #15 featuring Clarins, L'Occitane, Clarins, Neals Yard & more!

Another month, another empties post! This month I only have bodycare and skincare products to share with & review for you. I'll start with bodycare because I have more of those products.

REVIEW: Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare is a brand that has been on my radar for a while - ever since I first saw the brand on Cult Beauty. The products are free from parabens, sulphates, silicones, phthalates, mineral oils and fragrances and are not tested on animals. I have sensitive skin that is both dry and dehydrated so I was hoping that this cleanser would suit my skin and I was also curious if it would live up its name: Miracle Cleanser is quite the claim!

My top 5 nail polishes for summer!

I love having my nails painted all year round and in summer, I tend to favour bright colours. Today I am sharing my top 5 nail polishes that I have been wearing this summer. One is a very recent purchase but I love it already!

Best of High End Brands Tag

I read this tag on a few blogs recently and thought it would be right up my street because I am a huge fan of so many high end beauty products. The idea is that you need to choose only one product from each brand that you would keep if you had to give all of the other products from that brand away (I'm shuddering at the thoughts!). There were some very difficult choices to be made! So let's get started!

July favourites featuring Aurelia, This Works, Jo Malone & youtubers!

So it's favourites time again and this month, for the first time, I don't have any make-up products in here because I was very ill for most of July and simply didn't wear any make-up! I have a new cleanser in here that is the best I've ever used and a few other pampering products that I enjoyed using this past month.
