Five Favourites from Huda beauty

Five Favourites, Huda Beauty, Huda Beauty 3D Highlight Palette, Huda Beauty TanTour, Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection, Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer, Huda Beauty Liquid Matte

I'm back with another instalment in my Five Favourites series and today it's all about Huda Beauty. I have to say that it was really tricky to narrow it down to just five products because I genuinely love so many products from the brand. I know that Huda can be seen as quite controversial at times but I'm just focusing on her products and brand rather than the lady herself.

Complexion Perfection: This is the perfect primer for dry skin. I love it so much that I have repurchased it twice. It's really nourishing (enriched with rosehip oil) so it is great for prepping the skin for a foundation that might not be hydrating but it also helps to prolong the wear time. I have tried a number of foundations over this primer of varying finishes and textures and all apply beautifully without catching in any dry areas. I'll repurchase again for a third time when I finish this tube.

Overachiever Concealer: If you want full coverage without the heavy feeling that usually accompanies it, you need to check out this concealer. The applicator is metal and it's slanted so it's ideal for using in the under eye area as it's cooling and helps to depuff the area. A small amount goes a long way and it's also long-lasting. The finish is luminous-matte - it doesn't necessarily highlight but definitely isn't flat matte. It's an all round brilliant concealer.

Tantour: When I needed a new cream bronzer earlier this year, I decided to buy this as I liked the idea of a 2-in-1 contour and bronzing product. To be honest, I rarely contour these days - it's more about adding some gentle definition and shape to my face and I find that cream products look the most natural on the skin. There are five shades available and all run quite deep so they can look scary in the pan but the formula is beautiful and the product blends seamlessly into the skin. It works well with a beauty sponge or s densely packed brush and doesn't disturb my foundation when worn over it but also works really well when applied under foundation in the way that Scott Barnes (J Lo's makeup artist) recommends.

3D Highlight Palette: This is the perfect palette to travel with as the products can be used on both the face and eyes. It contains a cream highlighter, a powder highlighter, a bronzer and blush and there are three shade variations available. All of the products are buildable and layer well together without the feeling like there is a lot of product on the face.  The cream product is smooth and gives the skin a nice sheen and the powder products are finely milled and soft so they apply without any patchiness.

Liquid Matte: Because I have dry lips, I used to hate liquid lipsticks and the first that I truly embraced were these. They are light in texture, pigmented and extremely comfortable on the lips. I have a few but this nude shade 'Crush' is my favourite.  I find the wear time to be a good 6 or so hours, which is pretty good!
