Easy summer makeup....

I don't know about you, but when the weather heats up, I like to wear less makeup, or at least quick & easy makeup! When I watch Love Island and see some of the girls wearing full coverage bases that don't match their skin, it just makes me crave a lighter look. I have freckles, and like them to show through. Of course, it's a case of each to their own and you do you, but if you're craving a light base and easy to apply makeup, this post is for you!

Charlotte Tilbury UV Invisible Flawless Poreless Primer:* This primer was released at the perfect time! Of course, I wear SPF daily, but to have SPF 50 in a primer is a real bonus, particularly on days where you don't want to wear a base product. For those with oily skin, this primer would work instead of moisturiser. It contains both UVA and UVB protection and doesn't feel like an extra layer of product on the skin, despite the fact that it is nourishing. It blurs the appearance of pores and gives the skin a satin finish, whilst reducing redness. It works very well as a primer, but I like the finish it gives my skin, so I have found that I've been skipping foundation regularly and just using this to even put my skin tone, while adding extra protection.

Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter*: I've been obsessed with this product since it was first released! At first, people thought it was a foundation, but it isn't. It's a pore-blurring product that adds a hint of coverage as well as a glow. It can be used under foundation, over foundation, as a traditional highlighter, or alone, which is how I've been wearing it. It instantly lifts my complexion, without giving the dreaded disco ball effect! The key is not to apply as much product as you would if you were using a foundation - just use the doe foot applicator to dab on to the high points of the face and the chin and blend using your fingers or a beauty sponge. Fresh, filtered skin in an instant!

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Concealer: When the weather is really hot, I tend to forgo foundation and just wear concealer with Flawless Filter for a light base.  What I particularly love about this concealer, is that it adds coverage but has skincare benefits too. It's ideal for dry skin, as it contains hyaluronic acid, as the name suggests. It doesn't crease or settle in under eye area and makes the skin look fresh overall. Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush Petal Poppin': This blush is perfect for medium skin tones for summer, as it literally lifts the complexion in an instant! I love cream cheek products in general, as they are so flattering and easy to use on dry skin. The formula of this one is perfect - not overly stiff, but still creamy enough to apply and blend with precision. I apply with my fingers and as soon as I dab it on my cheeks, my entire complexion is lifted. It's like summer in a blush! There are obviously a number of shades available, but this is my favourite one.

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Pressed Powder: In order to set my makeup and make sure that it won't budge, I use a small amount of powder. Because I have dry skin, this isn't always necessary, but with the humidity of the past few weeks, it's been an essential to add a little powder, especially if I'm wearing a mask, as that doesn't help matters, especially as I seem to have a constantly high temperature! For most people, powder is a must, but I avoided them for years as I hate the powdered look, which looked cakey and aged my skin. That said, I have found some that work on dry skin and this particular one is ideal, as it contains hyaluronic acid, which attracts and holds 1000 times its weight in moisture. This powder is undetectable on the skin - I thought that it might look white, but it really doesn't - you literally can't see it. It doesn't leave the skin looking completely matte, as in flat, however it does reduce any excess shine and sets my base. It's one of the best powders I have used and because it's a compact, it's perfect for on the go. Use the code LYMIN to save 20% on Look Fantastic.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer: I wear bronzer all year round and particularly love this one, because it looks so natural. As with other products in the Airbrush range, it really does give the skin a poreless look. This product is so finely milled that there is no chance of any patchiness - it just applies so evenly and works beautifully on the eyes too, if you are feeling particularly lazy, but still want something on the lids.

Refy Gloss Highlighter: I'm a highlight addict and this is a recent addition to my collection. I love cream or liquid highlighters and this one is so easy to apply and gives the skin a dewy look. It's only available in one shade at the moment, but hopefully the line will be extended as the brand grows.

Marc Jacobs Brow Wow Duo: I love this duo because it's so quick & easy to use. One end has a pencil with a fine nib, to fill in my sparse brows, and the other end has a gel brush, which adds some texture and volume. I love that both products that I need are in this one pencil.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Pillow Talk/Walk of No Shame*: The ultimate easy eye product that still lets you look as though you've made an effort, is these cream shadows! I adore them and have back ups of my favourite Rose Gold. Pillow Talk and Walk of No Shame are recent releases and I have been gravitating towards Pillow Talk for a daytime look and if we decide to go on a date night (possibly for my birthday in a few weeks), I'll wear Walk Of No Shame, as I think it'll look good with a more polished/full makeup look. You can apply these shadows with your fingers or a flat shader brush and they don't budge once they are set - even on my oily lids. I sometimes buff the edges out with my bronzer, but they look good worn alone.

Marc Jacobs At Lash'd Lengthening & Curling Mascara: I have been raving about this mascara for months, and continue to do so because it really lengthens my lashes and defines them. I've had people ask me if I have lash extensions because it makes my lashes look so long and so good. So much so, I'm skipping eye liner at the moment and just letting my lashes have the emphasis, whereas normally, I would never be without my liquid liner!

Charlotte Tilbury Tinted Love*: I'm favouring a lip stain over anything at the moment, because it's easy to apply and top up, plus it  doesn't stick to my mask, like my usual favourites (glosses) do!. These aren't drying and can also be used on the cheeks.

It seems like a lot of products, but it really doesn't take long to apply everything and a lot of it can be done without the use of brushes. How about you? Are you wearing much makeup these days? I'd love to hear what your favourite products are?
