Dermalogica Phyto Nature Firming Serum and Oxygen Cream Review

Dermalogica Phyto Nature Firming Serum and Oxygen Cream Review
Both of these products were kindly gifted to me.

Regular readers will know that I'm a huge fan of Dermalogica and have used the brand for 20 years at this stage. I'm also lucky enough to be part of their #skinfluencer progranne, which means I am sometimes sent some of their new releases. A few months ago I received the two products in the Phyto Nature Firming range - a serum and a moisturiser.  The serum has been around for a few years but the moisturiser is new. I was delighted to receive the products because I loved the serum when I used it first time around.  Recently, my skin was feeling very dry, which I put down to the change in weather and the central heating being on and I knew that I needed to bring out the big guns to get my skin back on track. Read on for my thoughts...

Phyto Nature Firming Serum: When I first received this a few months ago, I used it on occasion but I knew that with my skin playing up, I needed to use it consistently to see improvements and it has definitely paid off. This product actually contains two serums that have separate dispensers - one side (phase) is aimed at firming the skin and contains peptides and the other side aims to lift the skin, and contains Hyaluronic Acid and Amazonian Camu Camu amongst other ingredients. I have found that not only has it firmed and lifted my skin, but it has restored moisture levels and overall radiance. My skin feels supple and bouncy. I've actually been asked a few times if I've lost weight but it's actually just that my face looks slimmer because it appears more lifted. Differences can be seen within a week but with consistent use, the best results are achieved. It is an expensive product but I honestly believe that if you can afford it and your skin is looking drab and your age is showing (and I have said many times that I believe that ageing is a privilege so I am not ANTI-ageing!), then it is worth the investment because the results are there for all to see. Phyto Nature Oxygen Cream: Layered over the serum, I've been using this moisturiser, which is a new release from the brand. Again, the target of this product is to firm and lift the skin, as well as nourish it so that it's plump, with the appearance of fine lines diminished.  It contains phytoactives, such as Nasturtium Flower, Electric Daisy Flower, Adaptogenic Astragalus and Glycogen among other ingredients such as Squalane, to create a lightweight but very powerful and effective moisturiser. I find that the products don't pill at all and really make my skin look more luminous, radiant and youthful. Buy here.

The combination of both products has really transformed my skin, which was feeling so dry due to the change in weather conditions, plus I think that I may have compromised my skin barrier by overdoing acids and retinol. My skin looks and feels so much better and as a result, I feel much better in myself because it bothers me when my skin is uncomfortable. Again, I know these are expensive products but I'd rather spend money on my skin than expensive clothes!

Has your skin suffered with the change in season? What changes have you made?
