My number one product from my top 10 skincare brands

My number one product from my top 10 skincare brands

As a skincare addict and beauty blogger, I have tried hundreds of skincare brands over the years, from budget to luxury. Some brands I naturally gravitate towards more than others. I have dry skin that isn't keen on lots of fragrance or essential oils. I used to be very sensitive to shea butter as an ingredient but that seems to have changed over the years so I don't actively avoid it now but at the same time, wouldn't seek out products that contain a lot of it. As well as being dry, I also have some pigmentation, fine lines and texture, which I try to keep on top of by using great products and my Currentbody LED Mask Series 2*. It is a product that I simply could not be without and I use it at least 5 times a week because consistency is key for optimum results in terms of firmer and more elasticized skin as well as a reduction in pigmentation. Use the code LYMINCB to save 10% if you're interested in buying. I've compiled a list of my top ten skincare brands and my favourite product from each one, which I want to share with you today and I would also love to hear what some of your favourite products are in the comments below!

This is isn't in order of preference  - I love all of these brands and products equally!

Omorovicza: Long time readers will know that I have used and loved this brand for around 10 years. I find that it really suits my skin and their patented Healing Concentrate really soothes my skin. It is very difficult to choose just one product because I genuinely love so many but I decided on Midnight Radiance Mask, which seems to have been discontinued (sob!). This is an overnight mask and I am guaranteed a great skin day after using this! It contains Salicylic Acid, which penetrates the pores to dissolve sebum and also reduces inflammation. It also contains Sand Lily, which helps to reduce dark spots and it also contains hydrating ingredients such as Red Alga and Sodium Hyaluronate. It honestly works wonders and I am beyond disappointed that it appears to have been discontinued!

Sunday Riley: I have done several stints of only using this brand for several months and when I do that, my skin really looks great - clear, plump, even in tone and glowing. This is in no small part  to C.E.O. Glow. This not only calms any inflammation with the turmeric it contains, but it really nourishes the skin due to the inclusion of evening primrose oil, jojoba oil and a seed oil blend. It contains Vitamin C in the form of THD Ascorbate, which is a stable form of the vitamin, and this helps the skin to glow. It layers well with other products and can be used both morning and night.

Skin Rocks:  I recently posted a full review of all of the products that I've tried from Skin Rocks (post here). Safe to say that I love all of the products but The Cleansing Balm is my favourite because I have tried so many cleansing balms but none quite live up to this one. The texture is divine, it's so pliable and melts into an oil that dissolves all traces of makeup and SPF, even stubborn eye makeup! I would say that it's the most effective balm I have used in that regard but what I really love about it is how soft and nourished my skin feels after using it.

Ultraceuticals: I love this Australian brand and my favourite product, without doubt, is their Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 50 Hydrating (also available in a mattifying version for those with oily skin). This SPF is lightweight yet hydrating. It doesn't pill and is a perfect makeup base. It protects the skin against both UVA and UVB rays and doesn't leave any white cast at all, in fact my skin glows with this. A daily essential!

Estée Lauder: No prize for guessing what my favourite product from this brand is! My most repurchased skincare product ever is Advanced Night Repair. I've been using it for around 17 years and I simply cannot be without it! If I'm ever between bottles for a few weeks, it shows in my skin. It brightens, hydrates, plumps and increases the elasticity in my skin. If I had to scrimp on all other products, this would be my one splurge because it does it all! You can save 21% on this and many other products on Look Fantastic using my code BEAUTYLYMIN.

Drunk Elephant: I find that this brand can be a bit hit and miss - I LOVE some of their products, while other just feel a bit meh. My number one product is A-Passioni Retinol Cream. I've tried a good number of retinoids but this is my favourite due to the results it gives. I find that it leaves my skin looking clear, even in tone, bouncy and bright, with refined pores and diminished fine lines. As with all retinoids, consistency is key but please build up if you are new to retinoids!

Zelens: My lovely friend Doctor Anne introduced me to Power D many years ago and it's been a constant in my skincare stash ever since. This product really helps to protect and strengthen the skin barrier and is ideal to use if you've gone too hard on acids or retinoids. It instantly soothes and replenishes the skin and leaves the skin feeling supple and looking plump. A great product to have in your skincare arsenal. Again, my BEAUTYLYMIN code works to save 21%  on this on Look Fantastic.

Lancôme: My love for this brand has really grown over the last decade and I find that as I get older, my skin loves some of the ranges more. I found it difficult to narrow it down to one product but decided that overall, the product that made the biggest difference to my skin and the one that I repurchased refills for twice, spoke volumes. That product is Absolue Soft Cream. This is quite thick in texture initially but it then melts into the skin when being massaged in. It contains three forms of rose extract: Centifolia Rose, Rose Damascena and Lancôme Rose. This combination leaves the skin feeling soothed, nourished and plump and looking luminous. An all round winner (despite the price tag!)

Oskia: For some instant rejuvenation, I love to use Renaissance Mask. This gently exfoliates to reveal bright, glowing, plump and soft skin, whilst also leaving it looking clear. It uses papaya enzymes and fruit acids to resurface the skin and it can be a little tingly but it doesn't leave my reactive skin looking red or feeling inflamed. It's peach in colour but when massaged into the skin, it turns white. At this point, leave it for 10-20 minutes before removing and be prepared to want to keep touching your soft skin!

Dermalogica: I have used this brand for more than 20 years and will always have some of the products in my stash. I have always said that Midnight Recovery Masque takes around 5 years off the skin! It instantly soothes and replenishes the skin and always makes my skin look calm and plump! It contains Vitamins A,C and E as well as Pro-Vitamin B5, Linoleic Acid and Algae Extract. This combination really works wonders for a quick fix for plump, youthful skin

I would really love to hear what your favourite skincare brands are and your favourite products from them!
