January Favourites featuring Lorac, Hourglass, MAC, YSL, Vidal Sassoon & more!

So it's favourites time again & I have to say that January has flown by for me - usually, it feels like the longest month but this year for some reason, it has gone by in the blink of an eye! I have a real mixture of products to share with you this month, so let's get started!

REVIEW: Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush

I bought this Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush before Christmas & put it to one side & had totally forgotten about it when I purchased the Louise Young LY34. I found it in a drawer last week & have really been enjoying using it. It is probably the shortest foundation brush I have ever used, which means that I can get very precise application and I can really get into all of the nooks & crannies of my face.

Whittling down the wishlist #1:Sarah Chapman purchases featuring Overnight Facial & Morning Facial!

Having heard & read so many positive things about Sarah Chapman products, I have had some on my wishlist for quite a while so when Feel Unique had the range included in its sale, I knew that was my opportunity to try some. I bought the Overnight Facial and the Morning Facial. Both products are very pricey because they only contain 15ml in each bottle, but a little amount really does go a long way so be very careful not to use too much, if you buy these products. However, because I want them to last me as long as possible, I have not been using them every day - the Overnight Facial is what I use every third night, alternating with Alpha H Liquid Gold & an overnight hydrating mask. This routine is working well for my skin & the morning after using the Overnight Facial, my skin looks plump, brighter & softer. It has a beautiful silky texture and absorbs  into the skin immediately. I am delighted to have this in my collection & know that I will want to buy it repeatedly.

REVIEW: Louise Young Super Foundation Brush LY34

I had wanted this Louise Young Super Foundation brush for quite a while, so when my Real Techniques Buffing Brush had shed one too many hairs & went to the brush graveyard, I decided to go ahead & purchase this brush. I ordered from Beauty Bay, who had 10% off at the time of ordering so it eased the pain a little as this brush along costs more or less the same as the Real Techniques Core Collection that the Buffing Brush was in.

Mac whirl lip liner & brave lipstick

I don't usually like giving in to hype & jumping on a bandwagon straight away so it has taken me a while to decide to make these purchases. Firstly, let me say that I am not into the overdrawn lip thing that Kylie Jenner has going on, or maybe she's had lip fillers, either way I'm not too interested in that aspect of things. However, I do like the colour that she has been wearing on her lips as it is a pinky nude. There have been several lipsticks mentioned and having looked at them, I decided that Velvet Teddy would be too brown for me & decided on Brave. It is a satin finish lipstick, which I find very comfortable to wear & it lasts an average of 3 hours on me, which is pretty normal for most lipsticks. It is a warm, fleshy, pinky nude and I think it would suit all skin tones. I am pretty much in love with it & think it will go with almost all make-up looks. I also love the slightly sweet scent of MAC lipsticks.

Want to make green eyes pop? Use this: MAC Golden Olive pigment

I was introduced to MAC's Golden Olive pigment by my wedding make-up artist. I had never used a pigment eyeshadow previously to this as I wasn't sure if I would be able to apply them properly, or if there would be lots of fallout on my cheeks. I was also unsure if I would want to wear green eyeshadow on my wedding day because most brides wear a neutral eye, but when she tested it on me, I was hooked! It really brought out just how green my eyes are and made me look vibrant & healthy! It also made the whites of my eyes appear whiter - bonus!

MAC Cherry - the perfect blue based red lip pencil!

I used to be so scared of a red lip and really didn't think I would ever find one to suit me, but before Christmas last year I bought Nars Cruella, after lots of research and I am very happy with it. I was always wary of red lips because they can tend to make teeth look quite yellow, but because Cruella is blue toned, it removes that element. I decided to buy a red lip pencil to team with Cruella in order to prevent bleeding, but also to help the red to last longer. I chose MAC Cherry because it is also blue toned and to me, it is the perfect red.

Cult Beauty Mini haul featuring Therapie, Aromatherapy Associates & David Kirsch

I love Cult Beauty because they stock brands that a lot of the other beauty websites don't and they have very quick shipping. They also give 2 free samples with orders over £40, which is a brilliant way to try expensive brands without splashing the cash & then finding it doesn't suit you. I recently bought a few items from them & am sharing them with you today.

REVIEW: Urban Decay Moondust Diamond Dog eye shadow

I am not the greatest fan of glittery eye shadows because they can tend to look too full on & the chunks of glitter can fall down on to the cheeks, however I really liked the look of Urban Decay Moondust eye shadow in the shade Diamond Dog because the colour is a really nice deep brown and the glitter is very, very fine and iridescent.

Lookfantastic January Beauty Box

Although I was quite disappointed with the contents of the December Look Fantastic Beauty Box, I had liked the contents of the October & November Beauty Boxes so I thought that I would go ahead and order the January box in the hope that December's disappointment was just a blip. I'm glad that I did because I am happy with the contents. It contains a mixture of hair care, body & skin care products.

REVIEW: Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash, Body Butter & Super Tonic

In my recent sales haul, I showed you that I purchased an Orangeasm Set from Soap & Glory. It contains a mini body butter, a 250ml bottle of the body wash & a 100ml Super Tonic fragrance spray. I am a big fan of anything citrus scented, so I knew this would be right up my street. I have been absolutely loving using these products because the scent is very uplifting & zesty and it really is brilliant for putting me in a great mood for the day ahead!

Empties & speedy reviews #7 featuring Kerastase, Elemis, Burts Bees, Nivea & more!

It's empties time again! I am flying through products at the moment & replacing them just as quickly! First up are 3 Kerastase products from the Discipline range. The shampoo is my favourite of the three & I am so gutted because it is my favourite shampoo EVER! My hair has never felt as silky as when I use this shampoo. I will definitely be repurchasing. Next up is the conditioner, which I do like as an everyday conditioner but it is not my favourite so I probably won't repurchase. Finally, I have also finished the de-tangling, heat protecting spray, which I loved & will repurchase at some point when I finish others in my collection. I reviewed the three products further here.

Recent purchases #13 featuring Soap & Glory, La Roche Posay, Calvin Klein, COLAB & more!

So I've done a little bit of shopping again! Most of these products were reduced in the sales, so I just couldn't resist. First up is a Gift Set from Soap & Glory featuring some Orangeasm products. It is the Eau La La gift set & contains a body wash, body butter & fragrance spray. I haven't tried any products in the Orangeasm range before, but I love orange scented products so I'm sure I will love these! It was half price in the sale, so a bargain at €10.50.

Review: OPI Glitter-Off Peelable Base Coat

I love to wear glitter nail polishes, but I hate removing them! It has always been a chore and I always find that my nails are quite damaged afterwards from all of the scrubbing. As a result, I have avoided wearing my pretty glitter polishes very often. However, this will all change now because I have discovered this amazing base coat from OPI. It is called Glitter-Off Peelable Base Coat and I must admit that I was sceptical at how effective it would be but thought it was worth a try. It can also be used under dark nail polishes to prevent staining.

Duty Free Haul featuring MAC & Clinique

It seems that it's impossible for me to go through Duty Free without picking up some beauty bits & pieces and my recent visit was no different! It's just a great opportunity to get some bits from my wishlist at a lower price. I thought I'd share my purchases with you today!
