Want a honeymoon glow? Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Review

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Review

People talk about a bridal glow and honeymoon glow but I can tell you that I certainly wasn't glowing on my honeymoon! We went to Italy for just over 3 weeks and I had a full relapse in my health a few days in so we had to cancel and leave after around a week when it was obvious that it wasn't just a blip, so to say that I was far from glowing is an understatement! Maybe if I'd had Farmacy Honeymoon Glow in my collection at that time, I would have at least looked well even if I didn't feel it!

A few months ago, I finished a bottle of Sunday Riley Good Genes and because it was off the market in the UK & Ireland at the time, I was on the lookout for something similar. I didn't think that I would find anything that would work as well as Good Genes so I went on to Sephora to order it and got distracted by other serums. After reading some reviews and doing some research, I decided to give Farmacy Honeymoon Glow a go because it sounded right up my street plus it is almost half the price of Good Genes. So, what is it?

It is a 3 in 1 night serum - it resurfaces, clarifies and hydrates the skin, It has an impressive ingredient list with 14% AHA/BHA/gentle flower acids blend. The AHAs are lactic acid, glycolic acid, citric and fruit acids, which resurface and polish the skin. The BHA is in the form of salicylic acid, which deeply penetrates the pores to cleanse them and it also contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin. It is used at night on clean, dry skin and, as with all acid products, you must be careful to wear an adequate amount of SPF the next day.

Upon application it tingles slightly but it doesn't cause any redness. It's like you can feel the dead skin cells being eaten, which I love. I started using it twice weekly and now use it pretty much every second night because I love the results so much and haven't suffered any reaction to it. I could see a difference in my skin after the first night but with consistent use, I am noticing that my skin is glowing pretty much every day - not easy when you have dry skin like the Sahara that is prone to dullness, also I haven't had any hormonal breakouts and my skin generally looks very clear with refined pores. My skin also feels very smooth and soft and a milia that had been on my lower cheek for a few months has now disappeared, which I am delighted about because I was looking into getting it removed.

I would recommend Farmacy Honeymoon Glow for all skin types and I am really hoping that Cult Beauty will start stocking it soon as they already stock some Farmacy products.

Have you tried this serum or any Farmacy products? I would love to hear your thoughts!
