Products worth the hype #1

When I apply my make-up, I choose the products I want to use that day from my collection & put them on my dressing table before I start, rather than choosing as I go and on Saturday when I had them laid out ready to apply, I realised that I use a lot of hyped up products but that is because they are simply amazing products so they are deserving of the hype. Sometimes you really do wonder if a product can be THAT good and sometimes they really are! I have tried some beauty blogger favourites that I believe are not worth the hype, but that is for another day's post! Today I am sharing my first instalment of products worth the hype and I am focusing on make-up.

The first item will be of no surprise to anybody - it is Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow! I love everything about this product, from the packaging to the product inside. The highlight is subtle enough to offer a gentle radiance to the skin without giving the disco ball effect, and the bronze section can be used for all over bronzing or a soft contour. I think I look a little healthier when I use this! The second Charlotte Tilbury product I have included is the Lip Pencil in Pillow Talk because this works well all over the lips on it's own with a little lip balm underneath, or as a liner with most lipsticks I own because it is a natural colour that matches my lips. It is probably my most worn lip pencil.

Next up is YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in #1 Nude Beige. This is my favourite lipstick ever. I adore the packaging and the nude colour works with most looks that I do. The lipstick itself is so, so moisturising on the lips and very comfortable to wear. I need to buy some more from this range!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz is the quickest and easiest way that I have found to fill in my brows. The nib is so fine that it mimics actual hairs and I love that there is a spoolie on the other end. I also love how it is retractable so it won't break if you twist it up too much. I also have the Dip Brow Pomade, but find the Brow Wiz much faster for everyday use.

Nars Laguna is a cult bronzer and with good reason. It is not too dark, is easy to apply and blend and can be used for bronzing up the skin, contouring and even for eye shadow. It has a slight shimmer, but this doesn't transfer on to the skin. I also really like the packaging because the mirror is large enough for touch ups on the go. I have repurchased this several times and will continue to do so!

There was a lot of hype last year about Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and with good reason. I am not a fan of the name, but that aside, this mascara adds a crazy amount of volume and length to my lashes. It is really black and doesn't make my lashes crispy, which is a pet hate of mine! It is also easy to remove, without too much rubbing so it's an all round win/win for me.

Finally, I had to include Hourglass blushes. I absolutely love these blushes and they are my most reached for blush. I love the marbled effect, where the blush is swirled with highlighter powder, so they give a very natural "lit from within" look to the skin and again, helps to make me look a little healthier so that means they get a big thumbs up from me. I haven't tried any of the Max Factor blushes that look similar to these, so can't compare but for me, these blushes are worth the hype.

So tell me, what products do you think are worth the hype? I look forward to reading your recommendations in the comments below!
