Some current skincare loves....

Anything marked with a * was kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

As a skincare addict, unless I am specifically testing products for the purposes of a review, I will have quite a few products in rotation. I have my main skincare stash in the bathroom, but also drawers and drawers of products that I add in, either from time to time (depending on what my skin needs at that moment), or when I finish a product. At the moment, I find that I am reaching for a number of products repeatedly and I want to share them with you today. For reference, I have very dry skin that is prone to dullness and texture,  so I need to keep on top of my routine in order for my skin to look good.

Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser: I love this jelly cleanser - it's different from what I normally go for, in terms of texture (I love balms usually) but I love how hydrating it is. I tend to use it for my morning cleanse and it leaves my skin clean, without the stripped feeling. The Tremella in the name refers to the tremella mushroom, which holds up to 500 times its weight in water and it also contains squalane and rose hydrosol, both of which are soothing and nourishing. It really is a beautiful cleanser and a little goes a long way.

Biologique Recherche P50: I've been meaning to buy this for years and it was watching a recent Fleur De Force video that prompted me to go ahead and so it. If you go to the Embassy of Beauty site, you fill out a skincare analysis questionnaire and it will recommend which products are best for you, which is very useful. Now, I have to tell you that this smells like vinegar, yet it does a lot more than swiping some vinegar on your skin and, to be fair, it contains Apple Cider Vinegar, which explains the scent! It also contains AHAs, BHAs, PHAs, Phytic Acid, Sulphur and more. These ingredients combine to exfoliate deeply, but also on a surface level, leaving skin smooth, soft and refined, yet not stripped. It is 100% worth the hype and I'm glad that I finally bought it!

Dr Dennis Gross Stress Rescue Super Serum*: This is just a mini of the serum, but it's enough for me to know that I love it! Because my skin is dry and sensitive, and I love using acids, I have to be sure to use products, which will balance my skin. This serum instantly calms my skin and reduces redness, which I sometimes have, as a result of inflammation. It contains maitake mushroom, maca root, cacao and goji berries and although the texture is quite rich for a serum, it absorbs instantly and really doesn't feel like there is a layer of product sitting on my skin. It's the perfect antidote to skin that is stressed due to the harsh weather, over exfoliation, a bad reaction to a product and more. I'll definitely need to purchase the full size!

Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules Hydra Plumping*:  I was kindly sent a fabulous array of skincare products from Look Fantastic, as a pick me up, and these capsules caught my eye immediately. I've been using hyaluronic acid for years, so that's not new to me, but these capsules are different because they contain a Double-Lock Hydration System™, which is comprised of both hyaluronic acid and ceramides, to really attract, retain and lock in moisture. What makes these capsules different is that the molecules used in the hyaluronic acid in these capsules, is 500 times smaller than regular hyaluronic acid molecules, meaning they can travel 4 times deeper, resulting in very plump, nourished skin. I have tried a LOT of HA products in my time and definitely count these among the very best. If you are worried about the fact that they are single use - don't be, because they are biodegradable. Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronised Recovery:  I've spoken umpteen times on the blog about my love for this range, quite simply, because it works! This eye cream is so soothing (my eyeballs have been so sore since contracting Covid and whilst I obviously can't put the eye cream IN them, it's so soothing to apply it around them), and firming. I love the gel cream texture that seems to plump and minimise lines immediately. 100% worth the money. Save 20% using the code LYMIN at checkout. I always have products from this range in my collection - they're non-negotiables.

Sunday Riley Ice Ceramide Moisturizing Cream*:  This is the perfect moisturiser for the colder months - packed with nourishing ceramides, oils and fatty acids. It's rich in texture, yet it doesn't feel like you're having a workout when massaging it in. It also doesn't feel like there is a layer of product sitting on your skin. It protects the skin's barrier function and is an all round perfect moisturiser for dry and dehydrated skin. I'm almost finished it but it will be a definite repurchase because I have no dry patches, despite illness, central heating and an open fire. Review here.

L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Overnight Mask*:  Another brand that I always have in my daily routine, whether it's skincare, haircare, bodycare or handcare. I cannot get enough of this brand - again, because the products work! I love an overnight mask and find myself reaching for this most nights because I love how my skin looks the next morning - firm, plump, and bright. I love the Immortelle range, in general and this is a brilliant addition. Immortelle Essential Oil is a powerful antioxidant and it also contains hyaluronic acid (that powerful ingredient again - no routine should be without it in some form!). I love to use it as intended, as an overnight mask, but you can use it as a traditional mask, just leaving it on for 10 minutes, before tissuing off the excess. All skin types will love this mask and I will definitely repurchase.

NSF The Micro Oil*:  This is the first product from the brand NeuroSkinFeeds™, which is a brand that believes that there is a connection between what you put on your skin, and your mood. This oil contains a host of ingredients, which calm, nourish, repair and protect the skin: Camelina sativa flower oil (an anti-oxidant, with anti-inflammatory and nourishing properties, due to the omegas it contains), Plukentia volubilis seed oil (which increases the elasticity of the skin, making it firmer and more supple), Sweet Almond Oil (which nourishes the skin, as well as soothing it) and Squalene Oil (protects the skin against free radicals and encourages collagen production). This oil pretty much does it all! The added bonus, is the effect on your mood as the oils contain tryptophan, which a precursor for Serotonin, which is regularly known as the happy hormone. This oil would be particularly useful during lockdown, but in 2020, in general, as it hasn't been an easy year and we have all been affected in many ways, whether we realise it or not. I'm excited to see what other products they release as I'm loving this oil, which isn't too greasy in texture.

That's it for now, but I have plenty more products ready to be added into the rotation. I'm just waiting to finish some, but also for the temperature to drop further. I saw my first frost of the season during the week!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your main go-tos at the moment? I'd love to hear!
