Empties & speedy reviews #18 featuring Pixi, Clinique, Janina, Clarins, Rimmel Xen Tan, L'Occitane and more!

Although I am a beauty junkie and a bit of a shopaholic, I great satisfaction out of actually finishing products  up and I'm quite disciplined at not having too many products of the same type open at the same time. I used to be so bad at using half a product, then moving on to the next one but my collection got really out of hand so these days I'm pretty strict, particularly when it comes to skincare. This month I have a mix of bodycare, skincare and a few miscellaneous products to show you and give you my speedy reviews on!

Skincare:

Pixi Glow Tonic is a repurchase and is my favourite acid toner. It makes my skin look brighter, less congested, glowing and soft - everything that I could possibly want. I have tried a number of acid toners and this is by far my favourite. I have already repurchased.

Clinique Moisture Surge Facial Spray is one of my favourite discoveries this year and one of my favourite hydrating sprays. This is so much more than a facial spray because it actually adds moisture to the skin. During the summer, I kept it in the fridge so that it would cool and refresh my skin as well as adding hydration. This is the second bottle of this spray that I have finished and I will repurchase in the future but am currently using Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist, which is equally as good but twice the price!

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm is the absolute perfect cleansing balm for my skin at the moment. It is truly beautiful, has quite an oil texture, which I love and my skin is clear and soft since I started to use this. I usually use a separate eye make-up remover but this actually removes every trace of mascara, liquid liner and eyeshadow without any stinging. A perfect cleansing balm. I have already repurchased.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Serum is a product that kind of disappointed me. I usually love Dermalogica products but this serum just didn't wow me. It has a strange texture for a serum, more like a light balm, but my moisturiser layered nicely on top of it. It is supposed to improve elasticity and decrease fine lines amongst other things and I just didn't see any difference to my skin and it is expensive at €69.99 for a meagre 22ml of product. I love other products from the Multivitamin Power range but I won't be repurchasing this.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is a holy grail product for me. I have already waxed lyrical about this product several times so I won't waffle on too long but I can't do my make-up without it and it makes my skin look fresh, youthful, plump and hydrated. As you can see, I cut the tube in half to get every last drop out! I have already repurchased this and always will.

L'Occitane Precious Cream: this is a sample pot but it lasted for 7 days, which is a pretty generous sample size and lasted me about 7 days. I liked this cream but I didn't love it because it felt a bit tacky on the skin. I wouldn't purchase a full size of this.

Bodycare:

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion: It wouldn't be an empties post if I didn't include a Nivea body lotion! This body lotion is easily and quickly absorbed and really hydrates the skin. It is inexpensive yet effective. I will forever repurchase Nivea body lotions.

Xen Tan Moroccan Tan is my favourite tan ever but I hate that it comes in such a small tube! There is only 148 ml in the tube, but it is 148ml of beautiful tan! This tan is just so easy to apply and gives a natural, streak-free finish. It fades evenly and has a nice scent and lasts 7-9 days. I will always repurchase this tan.

Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream is a beautiful hand cream with a really refreshing scent. It is non-greasy and absorbs easily. This is a 30ml tube, which is perfect for the handbag. I have quite a few hand creams in my collection so I don't need to repurchase at the moment, but I might in the future.

Miscellaneous:

Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner is Eastend Snob is a product that so many people rave about so I was delighted to pick it up. It is a really beautiful colour but it broke so easily and I used it up within a week because it broke every time I applied it! For this reason, I won't repurchase.

Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips is a really great lip balm. It really moisturises my lips and heals any dry patches. This is just a sample size but I will purchase the full size when my current lip balms are finished. It is a lot easier to get out of the tube than Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, which I am using at the moment.

Janina Ultra White Maxiwhite Super Strength Whitening Toothpaste is another great toothpaste from this brand. It is expensive, but I actually really do see a difference when I use these toothpastes. I'm not taking Jessica Simpson white teeth, but a couple of shades whiter than my teeth are naturally. I will repurchase.

I finished a bottle of Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, which I really love but I am currently using the newer + version and love it even more because it helps me sleep right through the night, rather than just help me to drop off to sleep. I absolutely love the This Works Deep Sleep range & will always repurchase products from it.

Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover is a product I have used for years and I think it is just as effective as the more expensive nail polishes I have used in the past. It removes every trace of nail polish in one swipe and doesn't make my nails brittle. I will always & regularly repurchase.
