Exclusive to Debenhams - Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Misteriosa is the perfect Valentine's Day gift for her!

Love it or hate it, Valentine's Day is fast approaching! The shops are filled with cards, balloons, chocolates, flowers and anything that could possibly be associated with Valentine's Day. My husband and I have never been particularly O.T.T. for the occasion, but we do acknowledge it with a card and sometimes we exchange pressies, other times it's dinner and a cinema trip. If I were to choose a gift for Valentine's Day, I would opt for perfume over flowers because it will last longer! Of course, it doesn't have to be Valentine's Day - every day is a good day to receive a new perfume or as a gift to you, from you! Today, I am going to show you a new Salvatore Ferragamo fragrance, which launched on January 25th and is exclusive to Debenhams in the U.K & Ireland for 3 weeks! It is called Signorina Misteriosa and let me tell you, it's a beauty in every way.

If you are familiar with the original Signoria bottle, you will know that it is a very pretty pink with a pink bow and rose gold lid. Well the new Signorina Misteriosa is like the older, sultry, more sophisticated and mysterious (as the name would suggest!) sister. The bottle is black with rose gold accents and is simply stunning. It definitely suggested to me as soon as I saw it, that the fragrance inside would be sexy and sophisticated and I wasn't wrong.

This is a sweet fragrance that also has a bite to it - think Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, but a little less sweet and a little less floral. I knew as soon as I sprayed it that it contained Tuberose, due to the depth and richness of the fragrance and upon reading the description, I found that it also contains wild blackberry (similar to Daisy Dream Forever) and Neroli with patchouli heart and black vanilla mouse as base notes

For me, this is a date night fragrance rather than a daytime scent. It is sexy, sultry, sophisticated, rich and lingering. As it is an Eau De Parfum, the scent lasts hours and hours - I can smell it at least 8 hours after applying and it doesn't appear to have faded at all. It comes in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles, ranging in price from £42 to £81 or €54 to €104. The brilliant thing about buying it from Debenhams is that it is part of their TRY SOMETHING NEW GUARANTEE range, which means that you will receive a mini sample to try so you can decide if you love it before opening the seal on the box. If you don't like it, return it with the packaging in tact and you will receive a full refund. This is particularly great when buying a gift as you can never be sure of other people's taste and especially when it's an expensive product.

Some other fragrances I would suggest that fall within the rich, sophisticated realm are Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb (slightly sweeter), Marc Jacobs Decadence (woodier), Lancome La vie est belle (sweet, yet warmer in scent!) or Armani Si (lightly sweet, with vanilla and a hint of citrus). Or for something completely different, you could try Chloe Love Story, which is a very light floral with a hint of citrus.

Describing fragrance is quite difficult because it can be quite subjective but I hope I have done this truly beautiful perfume some justice! Do you like this type of strong, sultry scent? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below, also your plans for Valentine's Day - will you ignore it or celebrate it?

Thanks for reading!
