September favourites featuring Omorovicza, Natasha Denona, This Works, Smashbox & more!

Here we are at the end of another month - September has been a mixed bag for me. It began with a really lovely sun holiday with my husband and boy, did I lap up that sun! I find that it really helps with my bone pain so I love long days in the sun (with lots of high factor SPF, of course!). I've been experiencing a lot more neurological symptoms with my condition this month and I also have a trapped nerve in my shoulder, which is causing me a lot of pain and the combination of the two means that I don't have full power in my right arm, so my Consultant changed some of my medication and I have been having physiotherapy. Fingers crossed that the combination of these two factors will help to relieve some of my symptoms and pain soon! Today I want to share my favourites from this month - some skincare, makeup, food & more!

I have two products from what is fast becoming my favourite skincare brand - Omorovicza. I have spoken about my love for the brand on many occasions and you will find lots of posts on their products if you use the search button but today I want to mention two of their latest releases, which were very kindly sent to me. The first one is Oxygen Booster, which I mentioned in last months favourites too. I have used this every day since receiving it around 7 weeks ago and I love that I can mix it with either my serum or moisturiser to plump my skin, thereby diminishing the look of fine lines in my forehead and between my eyebrows. It has a light gel texture but doesn't have the tacky feeling that some gel products have. The bottle has a pump, which I love because it dispenses just the right amount of product and although it only contains 15ml, only one or two pumps are needed per use so I can see this lasting quite a while. The annoying part is that the glass is frosted so I can't see how much product is left. I always recommend Lookfantastic as a great place to buy Omorovicza products because they have weekly discount codes, so it takes the sting out of the price a little.

The second Omorovicza product is a Space.NK exclusive and it is released today. It is the Instant Perfection Serum and what most excited me about this product when I first read the press release was the claim that it restores radiance to tired skin (I have chronic fatigue so any help in making me at least look less tired is always welcome) but also that it claims to reverse the signs of sun damage. My medication reacted with the sun when I was on holiday & despite wearing & regularly re-applying SPF 50, one side of my face developed an area of hyperpigmentation, which was really bothering me. Even my 3 year old niece noticed and asked me why my face was dirty on one side!! (Trust kids to always tell it like it is!).  Since receiving this, I have used both products together and I can already see that the patches are fading - they are still there but I am very impressed with the progress so far and have no doubt that it will continue. My skin is also very soft and overall, looks very plump and healthy. Again, this comes with a pump but I can see usage through the glass so at least I will be able to tell when I need to replace it. All Omorovicza products are extremely gentle to use and all have a very delicate, fresh scent. If you have sensitive skin, then you cannot go wrong with trying some products from this brand.

Cult Beauty recently had an offer whereby you would receive a full size Micro Exfoliating Balm if you spent more than £40 on the brand, so I took the opportunity to re-stock on the Renaissance mask to avail of the freebie. I generally use chemical exfoliants but occasionally like to use a physical exfoliant and I have been loving this one. It isn't very abrasive but it definitely polishes the skin leaving it looking a lot brighter with refined pores. The offer is still on the Cult Beauty website if you would like to try it for yourself.

I've turned into a bit of a foundation addict again recently and after reading rave reviews of Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation, I decided that I had to buy it and I have been loving it. It is hydrating, without being overly dewy and it blurs the appearance of pores and doesn't cling to any dry patches or break down over time. The coverage is medium but buildable to full if that is your preference and although I haven't worn it for the full 15 hours that it claims to work, I have found that it looks as good when I'm removing it as when I applied it. It is oil free but it works well on my dry skin.

Since buying my Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes, I haven't used any of my other palettes. I adore how easy these shadows are to work with - so buttery soft, pigmented and long-lasting. I just can't get enough of them!. Read more here. In case you weren't away, Beauty Bay now stock Natasha Denona products.

With the evenings getting chilly, I have been loving wearing my new Teddy Bath Robe from Top Shop. It is just so warm, soft and cosy but isn't too heavy, which I find full length bathrobes can be at times. It isn't the cheapest at €44, but is so worth it!

I love burning candles all year round but especially in Autumn and the one that I have been loving over the past few weeks and have already repurchased is from This Works and it is their Neroli & Sweet Orange candle. It is soothing and uplifting at the same time. The fragrance seems quite subtle initially but it really fills the whole room. I love it!

I have to mention a favourite recipe from the last month: Raspberry Coconut Bread from The Little Green Spoon. It is more of a cake/loaf than a bread and it is absolutely delicious. It is dairy and gluten free so if you need to follow those diets, you will love this but even if you don't, this makes a nice sweet treat.

Finally - entertainment, I am so happy that Strictly Come Dancing is back. It is my favourite show to watch every Autumn/Winter and it means the countdown to Christmas has really begun! I love seeing the progress of all of the contestants week on week, and of course the glitz and glamour of it all!

Also, I saw Bridget Jones's Baby last week and thoroughly enjoyed it! It isn't very often that sequels are as good as the first film, but this one definitely does not disappoint. Renée Zellweger made me fall in love with Bridget and her quirkiness all over again. I won't say too much about the ending for anybody who has yet to see it but if you want a laugh and a break from reality, then I recommend going to see it!

I would love to hear what you have been loving this month?! Have you used any of the products I have mentioned? Please tell me in the comments below!
