Empties & speedy reviews #16 featuring Kiehl's, Kerastase, Clinique, Pixi, Janina and more!

I wasn't sure I would have enough products to do an empties post this month because the bag that I store them in wasn't very full, but when I actually looked inside it I realised that there were a lot of products in there - mainly skincare and if I waited until the bag was physically full, it would be a ridiculously long post so I'm doing it today! I'll begin with skincare because there are quite a few items.

Ii finished two cleansers: Alpha H Age Delay Cleansing Oil and Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser. I have already shared my absolute love for Miracle Cleanser (here) so I won't waffle on about it for too long but, in summary, this is probably my favourite cleanser ever! My skin just loves it and I love everything about it: scent, texture and results and I have already repurchased it. The Alpha H cleanser is one that I won't repurchase - there is nothing wrong with it, but my skin just didn't love it and there are many other cleansers that I prefer. I did like the consistency of it - balm to oil, but it just didn't wow me.

I also finished two eye products: Kiehl's Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye. I really love both of these eye products - the Kiehl's serum (reviewed here) really hydrates the entire eye area and maintains the hydration during the day. I will repurchase this at some point in the future, but I have another eye serum on the go at the moment. The Estee Lauder eye serum/gel is also a very hydrating product and it also leaves the area visibly plumper after use. Again, I will repurchase this at some point.

Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray is one of my favourite discoveries this year. I reviewed it here and I have used it every day since I bought it. It really does an excellent job at adding moisture to my skin. I will use this all year round and have already repurchased it.

Serozinc is a product that I bought purely because it was a very hyped up product and it was actually possible to buy it in Ireland (via the UK using the Parcel Motel earlier in the year, but available nationwide now). It isn't really aimed at my skin type (dry skin), but I actually found it perfect at times when my skin was playing up because it really soothes the skin and for this reason, I will probably repurchase at some point. I think it is one of those products that I would always like to have in my stash.

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil is a product that I didn't really like initially, due to its scent but I recently started to use it again and I really liked it. It is quite a greasy oil so I would only use it at night but it did a great job at moisturising my skin and helping it to look plump. I will repurchase this at some point and would love to try some more products from the brand. I have a few other oils on the go at the moment, so don't need to buy one just yet.

Finally for skincare, I have a By Terry Creme De Rose Nutri-Lift Comfort Cream. This was given to me by a friend who bought it but it didn't suit her skin. This is a beautiful moisturiser - I adore the scent and it has quite a thick texture (but not greasy), which I really like and it really suits my dry skin. This is quite expensive at £69 for only 30ml so I'm not sure that I would purchase it myself, however I would be very tempted because it really suited my skin.

Now on to body care. I have two holiday/sun products, both of which are quite pricey but great for preparing for and maintaining a tan. First up is Lancaster Tan Maximiser Aftersun, which  I absolutely love and will always repurchase. It does a fantastic job at moisturising the skin, preventing any peeling and it really does a great job at prolonging a tan. Gatineau Tan Accelerating Lotion is a product that is designed to be used before, during and after tanning. I was hesitant about buying this because it is quite expensive but I am very glad that I did. I used it for two weeks before going on holiday and I initially wasn't sure if it would do anything for my skin but it really helped me to get a very even tan - normally I find that my tan can be a little patchy for the first few days but not this time. I will definitely repurchase this next time I am going on holiday.

I finished two hand creams and one foot cream: Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex, Roger & Gallet Rose Hand & Nail Cream and L'Occitane Shea Butter Dry Skin Foot Cream. I really liked all three of these products and would repurchase all of them. They all do a cream job at moisturising and my favourite of the three is the Roger & Gallet because I love the rose scent.

Finally, a few miscellaneous products: Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover, which I will repurchase because it does a great job at removing nail polish without stripping moisture out of the nails and it's very affordable. Janina Extra Strength Ultra White Whitening Toothpaste is a repurchase and I will buy again in the future. It does a great job at whitening teeth without the use of harsh chemicals. Pixi Lash Line Ink in Black Silk is a really nice liquid liner - it is very black and very long-lasting, which is exactly what I want in a liquid liner. I prefer Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner so I may repurchase this at some point. Finally (!), I finished a bottle of Kerastase Voile Protecteur while I was on holiday. I really like this product and it does a good job at protecting my colour. It is a very fine mist so you can't actually feel it in your hair, which I really like. I will repurchase this before I go on holiday again.

I didn't expect this post to be so long, so well done if you've read it all! Have you tried any of these products or do you have any similar products that you would recommend? I'd love to hear in the comments below.
