Limited Edition Catrice Active Warrior Range

Limited Edition Catrice Active Warrior Range Review

A lot of brands have released 'gym makeup' recently, Catrice being one of them! Their Active Warrior range is limited edition and only available to purchase until the end of the month so if you want any of the products, you need to act fast! To be honest, I don't think that the products are limited to gym-goers as we could all do with sweatproof makeup during the warm and humid summer months (nothing like positivity about getting a decent summer this year!). There are seven products in the range and I was kindly sent four of them to try!

I love the metallic turquoise packaging with the beaded effect - sweat or water drops? You decide!

Instant Blurring Stick: This is the product that I was most excited to try because I've always had my eye on the Milk Makeup version but we can't get that brand over here. This is a retractable stick balm that mattifies the skin and blurs pores. I find that the best way to use this is to rub your finger over the stick and dab it over pores, rather than applying the stick directly to the face as I found the latter method led to 'pilling'. Applying it with the fingers will make the product last long too as only a minimal amount is required. What can I say? This works! It really does blur the pores - I have some visible pores in my cheek area and this really is ideal to use on no makeup days to blur them without feeling like there is product on my face. If visible pores really bother you but you don't particularly want to wear makeup to the gym, this is a brilliant product for hiding them and the tube is small so you could pop it in your bag to use after your shower again if you are going out afterwards.

Make Up Freezing Spray: This is another hit! I used this last week during the hot weather to really see if it would keep my base sweat and weather-proof and it worked! I love that the nozzle delivers a fine mist so it doesn't disturb the makeup underneath and it feels really cooling when sprayed. I find this to be as good as any high end setting spray that I have tried and the small 50 ml bottle is perfect for travelling or in a handbag for use on the go!

Life-Proof Liner: I love that this liner has an integrated sharpener in the lid but that's as far as the praise goes for me with this product. I have often bemoaned the fact that I have the delightful combination of oily lids and watery eyes so it takes a lot for a liner to impress me and this one really fell short. It smudged all over my lid and under-eye and unless the panda-eye look is in, I won't be using this again. That being said, if you don't have the lid/eye combination that I have, it may work for you!

Epic Active-proof Luminizer: I'm finishing with another great product from this seriously under-rated and very affordable brand. You know how much I love highlighters and this is no exception! It has a doe-foot applicator and is available in two shades - I have Gym Beam, which has a pearlescent-pink tone. I dab a little on the high points of my cheeks and blend in - it sets quite quickly so you have to move fast, and once set, it doesn't budge. It isn't a blinding highlight but subtle is more suitable for the gym or exercise class anyway, as your own natural glow will shine through too!

Overall, this is a great range! As I mentioned, it's limited edition and only available until the end of the month so if you want to buy anything, act fast!

Do you wear makeup while exercising? Has anything here caught your eye?
