Hit Or Miss? Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette Smokey Eye Beauty

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette Smokey Eye Beauty Review

I've wanted a Charlotte Tilbury Look In a Palette for a long time but never took the plunge to buy one for some reason. I was very lucky enough to receive one from my friend Dagmara from Mummy's Beauty Corner for Christmas! I think the reason that I resisted buying it for so long is that face palettes sometimes aren't of the same quality as individual products, although I have had one or two that proved otherwise. Is the Charlotte Tilbury version a hit or miss?

The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette Smokey Eye Beauty is housed in the usual Charlotte Tilbury burgundy with rose gold accents packaging. Inside the lid is a large mirror, which is perfect for when applying makeup on holidays/nights away etc. There are three eyeshadows, two blushes, a contour/bronzer shade and a highlighter in the palette. All of this for £49 is pretty impressive given that this is a luxury brand.

On the top row are the three shadows. On the left is the brighten shadow, which is a champagne shade that has a shimmer finish, which is very flattering as the formula is very smooth.  In the middle, is the enhance shade, which is a matte medium brown shadow. The third eyeshadow is the smoke shadow, which is a matte black - perfect for a smokey eye or to use instead of liner. I actually prefer the formula of the shadows in this palette to those in Charlotte's quads.

The contour shade is pretty much the same as that in Filmstar Bronze & Glow, which is one of my favourite ever makeup products. It's the perfect shade to contour with as it is neither too ashy or warm. The other large powder is a highlighter, which is the original Bar of Gold. It has a beautiful texture, which makes it so easy to apply and it doesn't settle into fine lines. The shade is a pale gold, which I find extremely flattering.  In the middle are two blush shades - one light pink and one deeper pink, which can be used either individually or together. These are quite small so I tend to just run my brush over both to combine before applying.

There is no doubt that this palette is perfect for creating both day and night time looks. All of the products blend so effortlessly and I can do my face in five minutes because I have everything to hand, This is definitely a brilliant palette for travelling or to have in your bag to take you from day to night after work. If you've never tried any Charlotte Tilbury products before, this would be a great place to start.

Hit or miss? It is most definitely a hit for me!
