My current haircare routine

Collection Enrich Moisturise Shampoo, Collection Enrich Conditioner, Collection Glitzy Serum, Haircare, Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector, Coco & Eve Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque, Color WOW Dream Cocktail Coconut Infused, Color WOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray

Every year since I first became ill, on my 'to do/goals' list has been to get my hair into good condition. I used to have really strong hair that grew so fast and it was really dense (a trait for the women in my family on my mother's side) but when I became ill (and also as a result of medication), it became much thinner, lank and just generally dull and lifeless. I have used products over the years that have revived it but sometimes only in the short term. Now, my hair grows really fast (my hairdresser loves me because I get my roots done so frequently!)  and finally, I'm really happy with how it looks. I want to talk you through the products that I have been really enjoying using.

Shampoo & Conditioner:

Collection Enrich Moisturise Shampoo: This is a relatively new to me brand as I've only been using the products for a month but I'm very impressed. Apart from being very aesthetically pleasing, the shampoo itself is perfect for my dry hair. It contains Black Oat and Soya Bean, both of which help to repair hair. It also contains Avocado and Coconut Milk, both of which really help to moisturise and nourish the hair. I find that it lathers really well but is also easy to rinse and my hair doesn't feel at all stripped after using it.

Collection Enrich Conditioner: The matching conditioner also contains Black Oat and Soya Bean so if your hair is dry, leaning towards damaged (from heated tools, illness, too much bleach etc) then I really recommend trying this conditioner. Because my hair drinks up conditioners, I usually use a lot but I have found with this one that I don't need to use as much product as I normally would. I apply it mainly from my ears down through the lengths of my hair (using whatever product is left on my hands through my roots as I like to prevent frizz there but don't want to overload it with product) and then tie it up, do the rest of my shower routine and then rinse. This few minutes gives it time to really nourish the hair (it also contains Avocado and Coconut Milk, like the shampoo) and as a result, my hair feels silky and bouncy when the conditioner is rinsed. Again, this is £6.99 for 250ml.

Mask/Treatment:

Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector: I've raved about this so many times on the blog already. I use this once weekly as a pre-shampoo treatment (sometimes overnight, sometimes for a few hours but a minimum of 10 minutes always) and I have seen a huge difference in how strong my hair is. It's a small tub but a little goes a long way and my hair always looks and feels better when I use this.

Coco & Eve Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque: Once weekly, I use a hair mask and this is one of the best I've used. It smells amazing but, more importantly, it leaves my hair soft, silky , nourishing and glossy, without weighing it down. I love that it has a little brush with it so it's easy to comb through. I sometimes leave this on for around an hour but always a minimum of 10-15 minutes.  I really recommend using a mask once a week if you can because you will see a big difference in the condition of your hair if you do.

Styling/Finishing:

Color WOW Dream Cocktail Coconut Infused: I bought this on a whim before going on holiday earlier this summer as I didn't have a mini leave in conditioner. This is a really brilliant product for anyone whose hair is prone to frizz. I shake the bottle and apply a small amount to the lengths of my hair before coming through. It contains coconut oil but doesn't feel at all heavy (as long as you use a small amount) and it is activated by heat to seal the hair shaft. The result is frizz-free hair that smells amazing (can you tell I have a thing for coconut scented products?).

Color WOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray: Every third time I dry my hair, I spray this through the lengths before drying (it can be used in conjunction with Dream Cocktail). It is really lightweight so it doesn't feel heavy or make the hair greasy. Again, this is heat activated so I spray it before drying my hair. It really eliminates frizz to leave the hair smooth but what I also love about it is that it acts like an invisible hair spray so whether I dry my hair straight or add some waves, this product will maintain my style until I next wash it. A really under-rated product!

Collection Glitzy Serum: I really wish you could smell this serum through the screen because it is divine! It contains a blend of two oils - Argan and  Butiti and can be used as a pre-drying treatment or as a finishing product. Used either way, the result is a glass-like shine. If I am not using a leave in conditioner, I will use this serum and it really helps the comb glide through my hair. My favourite way to use it is on dry hair as a finishing product, applied through the lengths to ensure glossy hair!

I'm also loving my Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer, which has changed my life! I no longer dread drying my hair since this came into my life and it really gives the hair a salon finish.

Have you used any of these products? What are your haircare favourites? I'd love to hear!
