Urban Decay/Gwen Stefani blush palette - the palette of dreams! You also have a chance to win it!

One of my Christmas gifts was the beautiful Urban Decay/Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette, which I really love so when I heard she was releasing a blush palette, I knew I would have to own it so I ordered it as soon as it was released and fell in love immediately - so much so that I then bought one for one of my lovely readers. The link to the giveaway is at the end of this post, so keep reading!

First things first, I absolutely love the packaging and love how it is white as opposed to the black packaging of the eyeshadow palette so there will be no confusion between the two if you want to grab one quickly from a drawer of palettes. Inside is where the real magic happens!

I tend to favour peach/coral toned blushes so I was quite excited to try the pink blushes in this palette and although I'm not as pale as Gwen, I think the colours work on me. Apart from swooning over the blush shades as soon as I opened it, I fell deeper in love when I first swatched them. I cannot describe to you exactly how buttery soft these blushes are - they feel almost creamy!

Whilst this is described as a blush palette, I would describe it as 3 blushes, 2 highlighters and 1 bronzer. Cherry is a cool-toned pink and is very pretty, especially for early spring. Easy is a deep rose with a little shimmer to it, however it doesn't translate to being too glittery on the cheeks. It is quite different from any other blush that I own but is super-pretty and I know I will wear it lots. Angel is the first highlighter in this palette (on my skin tone) and it is a beautiful soft gold colour with a nice shimmer to it. This is a cross between Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight and theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and is very flattering on the skin. Lo-Fi is a matte warm toned bronzer that is probably my least favourite of all of the shades, but still very wearable and I will use it when I am on holiday and only want to bring one palette with me. Hush is an unusual shade - it is medium pink with a gold shimmer - it reminds me of a more muted version of Nars Orgasm. I think it is probably more suited to pale skin, but I will still wear it on low-key make-up days. OC is the final shade and I would also use this as a highlighter - it is a soft peachy-pink-gold shade. I also think it makes a nice blush-enhancer and I have been trying wearing both Hush & OC together and I think they work well for my skintone.

Overall, I absolutely love this palette and all of my other blush palettes haven't been touched since I bought it. The wear time is roughly 6/7 hours, which is pretty good. I think it is excellent value for money too - priced at €42/£35. If this palette sounds like something you would like to add to your collection, then why not enter my giveaway here!

Have you bought this palette or anything else from the Gwen Stefani range? I would love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below!
