4 great powders for those with dry skin

Powders for those with dry skin, Hourglass Powder review, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder Vs Genius Magic Powder, By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra powder

It took years for me to find a powder that actually liked because with having dry skin, most just aged my skin, settled into fine lines and generally looked awful. Instead, I just used setting sprays to keep my makeup in place That being said, the right powder can give the skin a very polished look so it's worth persevering to find the perfect powder for you. I have four options that are perfect if you have Sahara-like skin like I do.

Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder: I bought a mini of this powder because I was unsure if I would like it as Shireen from Reflection Of Sanity really doesn't like it and we have quite similar taste but there have been so many positive reviews that I still had to try it for myself. I am so glad that I did because I love it! This is a very finely milled powder and it really is undetectable on the skin, yet it gives a soft focus look. I love how it doesn't settle into fine lines and it blurs the appearance of pores. Shireen, I think you got a dud!

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder:Again, this powder gives the skin a soft-focus appearance and although it's white and looks like it would give the skin Casper the ghost vibes, it actually doesn't. What I really love about this powder is that it contains hyaluronic acid so instead of making my skin feel parched, like some powders do, this actually helps to add moisture. It feels silky soft and leaves the skin looking polished but with an undetectable finish.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish: This is the only pressed powder it today's post but it is so good that there was no way I couldn't include it. This powder gives the skin a demi-matte finish and it really does live up to the 'flawless' in its name as it gives the skin a polished look. It doesn't settle in any lines and I find it actually looks better as time goes on, which is probably thanks to the rose wax and almond oil that it contains. It doesn't actually feel like there is a layer of product on the skin but it really does set makeup. Probably the best pressed powder that I've ever tried!

Charlotte Tilbury Genius Magic Powder: I have to start by saying that this stinks (nobody seemed to mention this when it was first released!). That being said, the scent soon dissipates so don't let it put you off. I love the finely milled texture and the radiant finish of this powder. It isn't glowy or dewy - just radiant, healthy looking skin. It also somehow makes skin look smoother, which is ideal if you have textured skin or any areas of flaky dryness. It is extremely lightweight, which I love as I really don't like the feeling of product on my skin. An all round winner (apart from the initial scent!).

Are you a fan of powders? Have you tried any of these?
