Have you entered my Christmas giveaway here?
If you would like to wear some glitter on your eyes this Christmas but are wary because you have sensitive eyes or maybe because you think it's a bit 'young' for you, I would highly recommend trying the Hourglass Scattered Light Eyeshadows. They are, what I like to call, sophisticated glitter eyeshadows - they aren't too in your face but they do add some sparkle.
Another great bonus point with these shadows is that they don't irritate my sensitive eyes - there's no chunky glitter particles that might fall into the eye. They apply like a cream but set like a powder, which means that they are long-lasting and creaseproof. Of course, because Hourglass is a luxury brand, these shadows are expensive but this limited edition trio is great value so I had to snap it up! The standard shadows contain 3.2g of product whereas the three in this set contain 2g each but it will take forever to get through one so it is still a great buy for £42 as opposed to £26 for one.
The set contains two permanent shades (Foil and Ray) and one new shade (Molten).
Foil is a warm copper.
Ray is a medium brown with a hint of bronze.
Molten is a warm plum shade.
These shadows are brilliant when you are short on time but want to look like you've made an effort with your makeup. They also look smooth on the lids, even if your lids have creases or aren't as smooth as they used to be! They are definitely suitable for all ages as the glitter is quite subtle. They can be used for a quick was of colour but they are also buildable for more intensity and they also apply well over other shadows for a pop of glitter.
Overall, I'm delighted to have more shades in my collection and know that I'll get a lot of wear out of them at Christmas and beyond. they would also make a beautiful gift for any makeup lover!
Have you tried these shadows? Do you like glittery eyeshadow in general? I'd love to hear!
