Since I started blogging, my spending has gotten so much better - I used to buy so many new releases and far more products than I could ever use, or possibly need. In recent years, I have focused more on buying products that I actually need - with a few slip ups, however I am certainly focused on finishing products before buying too many more and I've cut down on the products I will accept as P.R.. With regards my clothes and accessories, I have been trying to focus on buying quality items, rather than fast fashion. To be honest, in 2020, I really didn't buy many clothes at all, because I was so ill & was at home 99% of the time. This year, I want to take it even further. I am going through my wardrobes and chests of drawers and whilst I'm certainly not aiming for a capsule wardrobe (I love clothes and accessories too much for that!), my plan is to see what's missing from my wardrobe (probably not much), and buy those, but at the best quality that I can afford. I'm sharing my wishlist with you today - it's mainly accessories, but there are a few other luxury items on my wishlist, which I am hoping to buy this year. If I buy fewer products that I really love, rather than like, I'm hoping that I can tick them all off my list - it will be interesting to re-visit at the end of the year! If you own any of these, I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether or not you think they are worth the money?
I have developed a real weakness for designer handbags, but my collection is tiny in comparison to fashion bloggers, and I try not to buy 'trend' bags. The main one on my wishlist this year is the Saint Laurent Lou Lou Bag in black leather, with gold detailing, in the medium size. I like bags that will fit with my lifestyle and that can be worn crossbody. I think this is one of the most beautiful bags on the market at the moment. I'll be keeping my eye on Far Fetch, My Theresa, Matches Fashion and Brown Thomas, for any sales or discounts throughout the year. I also have Shoptagr installed, which searches for discounts automatically. I have some discount codes here for using some of these sites for your first order (not affiliated).
I don't understand the attraction of the battered looking Golden Goose trainers - they look like they are fit for the bin! That said, I have my eye on the Pure Star 10272 Trainers, which are plain with some gold detailing on the heel. I'd definitely like to try them on first though because they're very expensive.
I have a lot of summer sandals, so don't need anything in that department, but could do with a new pair of flat boots. I received a gorgeous pair of Stuart Weitzman heeled boots, with some pearl detailing, for Christmas and I now have my eye on their Easy On Pearl Suede Ankle Boots. I think I'll be able to find these in the sales, as the Spring/Summer collections are being released at the moment, so these will be old news!
I need a new phone as my current one is the iPhone XS, and with my bad eyesight, I could do with a bigger screen to make life easier. I've never had the latest iPhone, as I always buy it outright, rather than have a bill, but I would really like to get the iPhone 12 Pro Max, as there isn't much difference in price between that and the 11 Pro Max, which is only available in certain stores. I like that it's much bigger and the camera would be a big improvement too. If you have this phone, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
I'm really loving wearing my hair in waves these days, but am not the best at doing them using the GHD straightener - well, I start off well, but don't finish well! My hairdresser recommended getting the GHD Curve Classic Wave Wand - she said it would be much quicker an easier for me to do a whole head of waves on my long hair.
Finally, I have heard so many brilliant things about the Dr Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite™ FaceWare Pro, and it has been on my wishlist for years. This year, I might just bite the bullet and go for it.
It's not a huge list, but it's a pretty pricey one. I never really buy anything without searching for a discount code first, and even when we aren't in lockdown, due to my illness, I don't go out drinking, I don't smoke, I don't own a car of my own, so I can kinda justify having some luxury in my life! Also, I don't expect to fly abroad this year as I don't think that I'd feel comfortable doing so, until possibly early next year, due to my very slow recovery from Covid and the fact that most people won't be vaccinated until the end of September. My feelings on that may change - we just need to see what the year brings. It's really down to the public complying with the rules!
What's on your wishlist this year? I'd love to hear!
